🏳️🌈 Happy Pride Month! We're thrilled to celebrate with our client spotlight of the month, The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, highlighting their incredible success as the largest LGBT-focused community center on the East Coast. One of their largest events, Cycle for the Cause, raised $2.2 million in 2023 — the largest total raised in the 29-year history of the event and a 28% increase over the previous year's total. We spoke to Lisa Lashley, The Center’s Special Events Manager, about their amazing journey and success here: https://lnkd.in/ez435mad #PrideMonth #Fundraising #CommunitySupport

Founder of Flying Cars Innovation | We help charity fundraisers build brilliant new campaigns that raise £millions 🌈
Welcome to Day 5 of the Flying Cars fundraising inspiration Smörgåsbord! It has been a super tough year for fundraisers and charities. But a lot of fantastic work has been created. So, every day in December I will highlight a different brilliant campaign to celebrate. 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 😎 ⬇️ __________________ Day 5 we are moving into the world of lottery. Specifically the Rainbow Lottery. It's the first lottery that exclusively supports LGBTQ+ good causes. And players can choose which causes to support. The brainchild of Tom Gattos + David Murray this product has a really clear and simple proposition. 'I want to play a lottery' + 'I want to support LGBTQ+ causes'. This is the kind of offer that really cuts through - there is a very clear audience and product. Lots of organisations are signed up - big & small - and we can only see this going from strength to strength in the coming years. 🌈 #fundraising #innovation

Four Pillars, an essential LGBT+ charity in the Grampian community, faces imminent closure due to a loss of crucial funding amounting to £150,000. The initiative “SOS” (Save Our Services) urgently seeks assistance to maintain life-saving programs that promote mental health, education, sexual health, and advocacy for human rights within the queer community. With an average of 300 individuals seeking support monthly, Four Pillars needs donations and sponsorships to sustain and expand its services. The charity’s impact on reducing suicide attempts and providing a safe haven for LGBT+ individuals is significant. The potential closure would be devastating for those who rely on our support, especially the younger generation. Four Pillars’ closure would mean the loss of hope for marginalised and voiceless individuals. The attached campaign implores readers to make a difference by donating or sponsoring staff salaries to ensure the charity’s continuity and serve as a beacon of hope for those seeking care and acceptance. https://lnkd.in/esFuxNQC

Human rights advocate | Team Lead Manager at SafeHarbor Shelter Uganda | Committed to justice and equality with a focus on protecting LGBTQ 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️rights and supporting vulnerable communities.
Update on Joy’s Health We want to share an update on Joy, a trans girl who was attacked alongside her friend Ray while at church. Ray's condition has significantly improved and continues to get better each day. However, while Joy’s health is in a slightly better place, she still experiences a lot of pain. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our donors and friends who helped us get Joy to the hospital. Without your support, her story could have been very different. We are still in need of financial assistance to pay for Joy’s ongoing hospital bills and to maintain our shelter, which houses 50 LGBTQ persons. Operating an LGBTQ shelter in a hostile environment with very limited financial resources presents constant challenges. Your continued support is crucial for us to provide a safe haven for those who need it most. Please consider donating to help us keep the shelter running and ensure that Joy receives the care she needs.
