What makes a great early stage investor? Venture has become a game of sales vs taste. Maya Bakhai, founder of Spice Capital, explains what taste is and why it’s s important for being a successful early stage startup investor. 🌶️ #15minfounder
thanks for having me!
"Believing in a founder's vision before the market exists" - that's a powerful point. Early-stage investors gotta be a bit visionary themselves
I agree - data is important, but it shouldn't overshadow a strong founding team with a clear vision. Investors gotta be able to see the potential
Love the Uber example - sometimes disruption creates entirely new markets. Data can't always predict everything
Interesting perspective! Taste in early-stage investing can make or break a startup's journey. Exciting stuff!
Understanding the importance of "taste" is 🔑

Thanks for breaking it down, Maya
