You know I’ve worked as a Dasher for over 4 years now and I personally feel appreciated in the role i have as a dasher. Sure some of the pay could be a bit better at times with the decrease in base pay over the years I’ve seen but I also have had the opportunity to qualify for better delivery options and because I take pride in my job and have the ratings to prove that, I have consistently had more opportunities to expand different delivery options I’m prioritized for and it has given me more chance to not see a huge decrease in pay. I throughly enjoy dashing and feel like I have had my voice heard as just a dasher and I feel Door Dash has given us a space to verbalize any issues dashers may face. While not every customer understands tipping culture as well as others might, I try to understand there is always going to be a few irritating individuals when working in customer service and I maintain my stance that the good far outweighs the bad most the time. Because we have the ability to make our own schedules I don’t have an issue with not receiving some of the same benefits as the corporate employees. In fact I’d say the perks we do get based on the way we can shift our work the way we see fit are pretty great.
Free dinner would be nice too 😎
I completely agree with the significance of reducing stress through corporate perks. Good post. 👍👏
Ugh, yeah, right!!! Seems corporate support involving the workplace would also go a long way...specifically all the way down to the drivers. Btw ,.. A Suggestion box type of workplace forum might also pacify some of us!!! Just saying...
DoorDash Among the significant benefits offered to employees, the Employee Certification Program (#3) and the Four-day work week (#5) catch my attention the most. This encourages employees to grow in their career and enjoy a good amount of week life outside of work. Kudos!
I definitely agree! When employees don't have to worry about other things, they are able to get more work done and be more productive doing it! As a Computer Science grad student seeking opportunities to enhance my Software Engineering skills, being able to focus on the learning/working is soo important!
Remote hiring would help

2moDashers need all of these.
