Just came across a post where someone shared these tips : Deepinder Goyal 1. If the delivery person is within 500 meters of your location, you can't cancel the order. 2. Two people can split the cost by one canceling the order while the other reorders it at a discounted price. But here's a better way to think about it: Why wait until the delivery person is 500 meters away? The moment the delivery partner picks up your order, you shouldn’t be allowed to cancel it unless you're willing to pay a penalty (usually 40-50% of the price). Meanwhile, the second person can reorder the same meal at a similar discount. It’s the same logic as ordering at a restaurant or food stall—you can only cancel before they start preparing your meal. Once it's prepared, you're accountable for it. One smart move, two benefits !! Deepinder Goyal #FoodForThought #DeliveryHacks #SmartOrdering #OnlineFoodTips #CustomerExperience #FoodDelivery #zomato

As Ireland’s fast-food sector continues to thrive, understanding the ebb and flow of customer traffic throughout the day is crucial for operators seeking to gain an edge. New data from Meaningful Vision Ltd reveals a dynamic landscape with distinct peaks and troughs. "Ireland's fast-food industry is experiencing dynamic shifts in consumer traffic patterns," said Maria Vanifatova, CEO of Meaningful Vision. "While lunch remains the strongest segment, afternoon growth presents new opportunities, and dinner continues to perform well.” https://lnkd.in/evypPE6S #foodbiz #food #fast-food

Wendy's tests demand based surge pricing, similar to Uber I believe this is a risky move when fast food is already struggling with high costs. For years, fast food was popular because it was cheap and quick. Nowadays, with a Big Mac meal priced almost the same as a healthier Chipotle bowl, the big question is: where will you choose to grab your next meal? Feel free to share your thoughts. #SurgePricing #FastFoodNews #FoodIndustryTrends #EatingHealthyVsFastFoo #ConsumerChoices #FastFoodCosts #DigitalMenuInnovation #PriceFluctuations #AffordableEats #FastFoodChallenges

Highlighting a feature story I wrote recently for CNBC: Food delivery fees are rising, and everyone's feeling the pinch Food from the restaurant of your choosing, delivered right to your door — at what cost? Third-party food delivery is becoming the norm for American consumers, as delivery apps like Grubhub, DoorDash and Uber Eats take hold in day-to-day dining. It’s also presenting customers and restaurants with an increasingly complicated equation of service fees, delivery costs and worker tips. Frustrations from both sides of the table have fallen on the services, which have worked to protect (or achieve) profits and prop up orders while cash-strapped Americans scrutinize the checkout screen — and order totals that often add up to more than expected.
