Concluding our Mammoth North Solar celebration week with a message from one of the project's most distinguished, fierce supporters, Governor Eric Holcomb, the 46th Governor of the state of Indiana. Governor Holcomb backed Doral Renewables and Mammoth Solar from day one and played a major role in bringing this visionary project to life, marking a huge investment in the #hoosier state. Thank you, Governor Holcomb, Secretary of Commerce David Rosenberg, former Secretary Bradley B. Chambers, and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation for your incredible support! Day 2 at #cleanpower24 for the Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy team was a success. Among the highlights: ➡️ According to Logan ONeill, IOM, OCED, the Midwest Renewable Energy Leadership panel brought together bipartisan legislators and stakeholders from several states to share practices that are working. Several panelists have alluded to the fact that communities that are doing well with clean energy siting have a broad thinking about what is rural economic development and believe in a good for one, good for all mentality. ➡️ In pursuing a bipartisan approach to clean energy policy, panelists also noted the power of collective partnerships and having community investment. For instance, APEX Clean Energy has a team of about 15 dedicated to community engagement, per our own Kelsey (Forren) Pepitone. ➡️ In a solar supply chain panel, Invenergy SVP of Global Sourcing Mark Delaney touted the Illuminate USA facility in Licking Co, OH. "The facility is currently employing 600 Ohioans. We’re looking to get to 1,000 by the end of the year." There are a number of communications firms in attendance that are focused on working with clean energy companies to test and improve community engagement messaging, including Tigercomm, RenewComm, and KAOH media.

The energy flexibility market is growing rapidly, so it's no surprise to see so many successful start-ups mapped here by Energy Impact Partners. Thanks for sharing Matthias Dill (and Matthew Lynch) and for starting a lively conversation! This is one to follow. So, where would EpiSensor fit in this landscape? As the demand response hardware provider to market leaders in this space, such as Enel X we would envisage an added category, 'DER Management Hardware'. However, our technology also transcends into distributed energy resource management, integrating with the software options outlined below to create fully optimised energy systems in commercial and industrial environments. Find out more about our advanced energy management and demand response solutions here: https://lnkd.in/ebUkwtkf #demandflexibility #energymanagement #energytransition
Power flexibility is key for the #energytransition. The challenges are growing as more variable renewable generation comes online. But there is a huge opportunity to balance the system through digital aggregation of flexible assets like #EVs #batteries #demandresponse. Energy Impact Partners is active in the space though our investments in GridBeyond and ev.energy! And great to see so many other innovators in the space, my colleague Matthew Lynch has done the research, but let us know who we have missed! The power markets continue to transform in front of our eyes as more VRE makes the grid more dynamic in so many respects… synthetic inertia, FCESS, BTM DER management to label a few… Bankability especially considering both fixed price scenarios and dynamic price transfer to the consumer end could make the role of large utilities and grid operators critical. Most likely the big utilities are the ones who have the ability to absorb risk/hedge it suitably to ensure energy transition proceeds on track and on time.

Some interesting debate yesterday at the #Grid24 conference, particular around the competing need for strategic energy planning and effective community consultation! A lot of change happening in the industry to aid the acceleration of delivery and reform of grid connections and I think the next 12 months in particular will provide a clearer strategy for developers and network operators.
A huge thank you to all who joined us today at #Grid24. We'd also like to thank our speakers and sponsors for their contributions to the conference. We hope to see you all at our next event! ✨ 🎤 Anna A., Addleshaw Goddard 🎤 Ali Akbar Ajmerwala, Luminous Energy Group Ltd 🎤 Rob Bloom, The Carbon Trust 🎤 Jamie Bright, UK Power Networks 🎤 Estelle Dehon KC, Cornerstone Barristers 🎤 William Duncan, Telis Energy 🎤 Bridgit Hartland-Johnson, Ørsted 🎤 Katie Jackson, WSP 🎤 James Norman, ESO 🎤 Gary Sector, Addleshaw Goddard 🎤 Christie Sims, British Solar Renewables 🎤 Kyle Smith, Energy Networks Association (ENA) 🎤 Karen Rowe, Addleshaw Goddard ⭐Addleshaw Goddard ⭐Freshwater

💚The MAKING AN IMPACT 20th Anniversary series shines a light on particularly important Standard Solar projects from the past few years. First in line is 2021’s 24-megawatt community solar project portfolio in Maryland. Impact? ✅Projected to benefit 5,000+ Maryland households annually with up to 10% savings on their electric bills ✅All projects are ‘dual-use’ to function as solar farms and pollinator habitats. ✅39,000 megawatt-hours of annual clean energy = offsetting 30 million pounds of coal burned Eric Partyka, OneEnergy Read more about these projects: https://lnkd.in/esmsV5S9 #PoweringTheEnergyTransformation #communitysolar #commercialsolar #asset-acquisition #20YearAnniversary
