Long post, as there is much to synthesize and process. Admittedly, I was not sure that #ICCA Future of Healthcare Meeting series was for me; our organization does health promotion, not care. This year I took a chance. Making informed analyses and decisions about our conference model, in a dynamic global context, involves many considerations and it can feel paralyzing. I left with a renewed sense that we should not shy away from challenging journeys and creative approaches, as long as we are clear about our global mandate and the growth that comes from sharing experiences and knowledge. Thanks to Pigalle Tavakkoli for a scalable, practical framework and methodology; thanks to Vanessa Reis and her committed and effective CB team, for the hospitality, and for keeping us on time as the Swiss do, in spite of considerable group inertia. I hope to engage with new contacts again for potential events, who impressed me with their research and level of understanding; I was glad for the productive exchanges with reps from our next confirmed destination, ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi - Melissa Kronemberg, Adèle Maritz, Bahaa OKASHA, CIS, DES, CSM. Many, many thanks of course to ICCA for their support to associations and for pointing out the questions we need to be asking now. Future errors were avoided! And there is no substitute for in person meetings. Several 15-minute conversations were each worth all of the travel and work hours invested. The montage of pics below do not feature the venues or the talks, as many others have shared these, but focus on the health-promoting city of #Zürich, as it illustrates what my work is about: Excellent public transportation infrastructure, with passes integrated to our badges; convenient access to outdoor activities; fresh, healthy, local food. #FHCM2024

As I reflect on my first international symposium experience! As a young professional in the personal care industry, the Gulf Symposium 2024 in Dubai opened doors I never imagined possible. Let me share this journey with you... The symposium deep-dived into "𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭 & 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧" - a crucial aspect of our industry. The practical examples such as Enrich MD and our own product "𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐕𝐢𝐭 𝐄" really brought the concepts to life. It's fascinating to see how ideas transforms into market-ready solutions! The highlight of the symposium was the presentation delivered by Rishi Sir. The depth and clarity of the technical knowledge shared set the stage for engaging technical discussions during lunch and dinner, sparking Innovative ideas and valuable insights for New Product Development. 𝐀 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 Sometimes the most transformative opportunities come when you least expect them. When I was asked to represent the "𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐁𝐑𝐂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓)" at the prestigious 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘎𝘶𝘭𝘧 𝘚𝘺𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘶𝘮 𝘪𝘯 𝘋𝘶𝘣𝘢𝘪! The moment I received this news, time seemed to stand still – and yes, those thousands of butterflies in my stomach were very real! But this is where support & guidance shown by Ashish Porwal Sir and Roheit S Dubepatil Sir made all the difference. Standing alongside my Sir, and presenting to a room full of industry veterans, was like a dream come true. The Accidental Conference Chair, 2024 "What prompted you to take on the role as the Conference Chair?" asked a senior member "I am an Accidental Conference Chair", I quipped "Oh, you mean the instrumental one", he responded. There was still one more week to go for the conference and the remark 'instrumental' stuck in my mind. What did the senior member see and experience that made him say that? Two years back, I had requested the conference organisers to include me in any role they found fit but with no luck. This year, the request manifested itself into the role as Chair. I clarified I had no experience of managing events of this scale however, the expectation was not of past experience but the need to lead and create a safe space for the conference team to function effectively. It is 72 hrs since the event concluded and the social media is still abuzz with delegates sharing their experience. Most of them are complaining, in a good way, the hangover they are dealing with. For them, this has been an incredible experience - 2 days of sheer magic unfolding! Right from how the organisers created a seamless experience for all the delegates to facilitators who spun their magic during the concurrent and plenary sessions. As Conference Chair, couple of key observations that contributed to the success: 1) a committed bunch of volunteers with the sole objective of doing the best they can 2) reiteration of the vision to create an incredible experience with love and care 3) every member who took it on themselves to step in and do whatever is needed to support the larger cause and last but not the least 4) every delegate who was focused on what was working rather than worry about what wasn't.
