Hey everyone, How's it going? I have some news to share, and it's bittersweet. Maayan Apelboim is leaving us, and I'm feeling quite sad about it. Yes, I know I already mentioned it, but it's really important. So, we're on the lookout for a new DevOps Engineer. I won't list all the technical details here; they'll become evident as you read on. We're looking for someone truly passionate about technology, a genuine geek who embraces their expertise without apology. Someone who can argue their professional opinions with fervor, yet set it all aside to enjoy lunch with the very people who might have driven them mad (yes, Tamirs, I mean you... or any DBA). We're after someone who can afford to be lazy because they're just that efficient. Someone as curious and sharp as they are neurotic. Note: sanity is *not* a job requirement for this team. In short, we're looking for Maayan v2.0. So, if you're reading this and think you fit the description, go ahead and apply. Who knows, it might just work out. And if you don't see yourself in this description, maybe you know someone who does. If so, point them in my direction. Looking forward to meeting the next member of our team!

🚨 The Tale of "sudo rm -rf" - A DevOps Engineer's Worst Nightmare 🚨 Ah yes, the infamous `sudo rm -rf`… the command that holds the power to turn DevOps engineers from cool, collected problem-solvers into frantic Googlers in *seconds*. 😂 For those unfamiliar, this command, when used recklessly, translates to "delete everything, no questions asked." Imagine the panic when you accidentally use it on your production server—suddenly, your entire system vanishes faster than your hopes for a peaceful weekend. 💥 Here’s what happens next: 1. Calm: "Just another day of managing infrastructure." 2. Realization: "Wait... did I just hit Enter on `sudo rm -rf /`?" 3. Denial: "No, no, no... that didn’t just happen." 4. Panic: "The server’s down! It's all gone! I need coffee. No, I need a new job!" 5. Acceptance: "Welp, time to embrace the chaos." Pro tip: Always double-check your commands, have backups ready, and maybe… just maybe avoid `sudo rm -rf` unless you're 1000% sure you know what you're doing. 😅 Stay safe out there, fellow engineers! And remember, with great power comes great responsibility. 🧑💻⚡ #DevOps #Linux #CommandLineAdventures #Oops #LearnFromMistakes #linux #devops #commaand #lifeasadevops #jobs #beginner

Switched to DevOps role for deployments: Concerns about job safety? Source: https://lnkd.in/gYYGDnrU Is switching from full stack dev to DevOps role a cause for concern about job security? Situation: My manager recently transitioned me from a full stack dev role to a DevOps role focusing on deployments. Although I have some prior experience, I am a bit concerned about the changes. Initial Thoughts: Initially, I believed I would only be handling deployments alongside my other tasks. However, I have now lost access to GitHub, which has raised some red flags for me. Question: Should I be worried about the stability of my job? #FullStackDev #DevOps #JobSecurity #Deployment #GitHubAccess #CareerConcerns #JobTransition #PriorExperience #ManagerialDecisions

Python, Julia, Kotlin, Golang, Node.js, Java, Kubernetes, Serverless, AWS, GCP, Azure, DevOps, Terraform, Ansible
Interestingly, I am getting DevOps job offers all the time 🤣 #devops I am professional programmer. My approach is to bring order both for programmers and DevOps, and System Administrators. Without clear boundaries. Simply DevOps would be in shock after my comments what needs to be fixed and reworked in written software.

Three words: hire this person.
I will likely be freeing up in 2-3 weeks. Do you know of anyone who has contract work for a Go developer or DevOps/GitOps person? I'm looking for something to bridge 3 to 6 months.
