Ahead of Matthew's run to every Premier League stadium we wanted to highlight why he, you, and local businesses, are coming together for Mission 135. Mission 135's goal is to raise £405,000 across Club 135, Network 135, and Team 135. Of course, the money is incredibly important in maintaining our suicide prevention and bereavement support services, but it's more than just a fundraising campaign. It's about people. It's about the 135. On average, every death by suicide affects 135 people. That equates to more than 760,000 people last year in the UK alone. We believe the best way to support the 135 is by preventing the 1 from taking their life. That's our goal. That's our mission. So thank you for every mile, every cake baked, and every profit shared. We're proud to announce that we've partnered with the childhood bereavement charity Winston's Wish, to offer grief and bereavement support with our Group Life and Group Income Protection products. It's estimated that around 1 in 29 school-age children and young people of 5-16 years old, have experienced the death of a parent of sibling; giving an indication of the prevalence of bereavements among younger age groups. Winston's Wish helps children, teenagers and young adults up to the age of 25 find their feet after their world has been turned upside down by grief. From 1 January 2025, a dedicated helpline becomes available to all young adult employees of #grouplife policyholders and also to dependent children of employees.
