The Canadians are doing it, the Irish are doing it and the Australians are not - why? Overseas many countries are stepping up and investing in RPL practices and processes to assist people who have skills and knowledge to access a more equitable and candidate centred RPL, across VET and HE (yes I said HE). It is about time we stepped up to the plate. The latest webinars from Canadian Association of Prior Learning Assessment are on engaging Universities to have buy in for RPL, as well as Industry and also governments. It’s easy to criticise our universities and urge them to reduce their reliance on specific source markets, but the real issue lies in the outdated contracting processes between institutions and education agents that have remained almost unchanged for thirty years. While other sectors have embraced technology to improve outcomes and cut costs, the contracting methods in education remain stagnant worldwide. Traditional agent contracting enables minimal progress and penalises institutions seeking to diversify their programs and source markets, hindering the creation of a truly global classroom. Currently, “pay-to-play” is the only recruitment strategy available to institutions aiming to boost diversity. This approach, lacking market-tested bonus sizes and guarantees to fill seats, leaves institutions bearing all the risk—a risk they often cannot afford. For institutions to sustainably diversify their student intake across various programs and markets, change is imperative. The current model of signing more agents and offering larger bonuses and higher support costs is not a viable solution for Australia’s 1,400 education institutions, which are vital to the country’s $48 billion education export sector. If you’re interested in discovering how Feezy can help you grow and diversify your international enrolments without increasing your recruitment costs, let me know. #highereducation, #studentrecruitment, #educationagent, #edtech, #intled

On June 6, IDP Australia released an update on regulatory and market conditions, causing its share price to drop by 11%. The share price fell to AUD 13.630 but later recovered to AUD 14.510. I anticipate a further decline in the share price, possibly falling to between AUD 5 and AUD 9.50. https://lnkd.in/g7UTAJEE https://lnkd.in/gF39c4R4
