Odds are you have heard of No-Shave November, but do you know the background beyond the viral movement? According to the official No-Shave November (Matthew Hill Foundation, Inc.) page, "No-Shave November has been a tradition for many years, but in 2009, the Chicago-based Hill family decided to reinvent the activity to raise money for charity. This project held special meaning to the eight Hill children after their father, Matthew Hill, passed away from colon cancer in November 2007." The goal of No-Shave November is relatively simple: donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle. With the help of social media, other organizations like Movember have raised millions of dollars for cancer awareness, as well as other men's health issues. Check out some of the foundations that No-Shave November is benefiting this year, and take some time this month to explore other organizations you can support this November. #noshavenovember https://lnkd.in/ddDQcQAV
