Running a smooth virtual production that streams to multiple platforms takes a lot of work, and testing is a huge part of that process. 🔧 The secret sauce? Rigorous testing and planning to iron out the kinks long before showtime. Right now, I'm in the trenches, battling with vMix to get my Zoom inputs to play nice, and let’s just say it's not as smooth as silk (more like wrestling with a stubborn octopus - not that I know what that might be like 😅). For those who’ve worked with vMix v27, any tips on getting those Zoom inputs to behave? I’m all ears! This integration should be as smooth as butter, but it’s feeling more like a battle. UPDATE: I figured it out. If you have AI companion enabled to automatically record your meetings, you've got to turn it off for the vMix Zoom plug in to work. It doesn't not matter if your meeting is set to record or stream, it will work nonetheless if the AI companion recording of the meeting is off. VidIQ predicted I would reach this target by December 23 based on my channel’s performance. But life, as always, had other plans. It took 6 extra days because I was waiting for my video editor to finish one of my key uploads. Sometimes, speed makes all the difference. This journey wasn’t about fancy equipment or an elaborate setup. My tools? A DJI Osmo Pocket 2, ScreenFlow, and a Rode mic. Simplicity and consistency were my secret weapons. I used to rely on the Sony ZV E10 for its ease of connecting to my laptop, but even with a leaner setup, I kept going. What’s most exciting? Over 50,000 of these subscribers joined me this year alone—a testament to how much can change in a short span of time when you stay focused and keep pushing. As someone who values freedom, progress, and excitement, I’ve designed my life and business around these principles.
