Hello everyone!   Today, I want to highlight one of our search filters, Area of Focus.  When my family and I were recovering from our accidents, we felt it was extremely important for us to find health professionals who also enjoyed the same activities as we did. Why did we do this?  As a practicing Kinesiologist before my accident, I thought I had a good idea of how to help my clients, but I had never been on the other side of the fence so that I couldn't say for sure. When it came time to be a client/patient, I was curious to learn as much as possible to help my future clients and fellow professionals. Sharing a common area of focus with my health practitioner, such as a sport or hobby, helped me build a connection with them that fostered my curiosity and engagement in my therapy sessions. I felt understood and supported because they understood the pain and tribulations of reaching a particular goal. This connection was based on a real-world experience that, as a client, I could trust, and it wasn't something a health professional could buy; it had to be earned by participating in the sport or hobby. So, from a patient's perspective, selecting the right health professional who understands the nuances of your hobby or sport goes a long way. Want to know what the MISSING THING from conventional healthcare is? 👉🏻 The complete lack of interest in the whole person. ❌ They never focus on emotional health; ❌ They never focus on electrical/energetic health; ❌ They do nothing to rebalance our structural/physical health… …but they do prescribe pharmaceuticals which impact our biochemical health and then our physical health further down stream… We all know people who are on meds for the meds that can potentially damage the [fill blank] organ when they take the meds for the original symptom, right? 🚨THIS APPROACH TO HEALTHCARE WILL NEVER RESTORE WELLNESS! Kinesiology is an example of whole person healthcare that truly considers the interrelated aspects of the body and mind. And it’s one of the ways I support my clients. Here are 3️⃣ ways in which kinesiology practitioners focus on more than just your symptom(s): ✅ They understand that past and present emotional traumas will be contributing to imbalances in the organ systems. For example, anger will impact the liver and grief will impact the lungs ✅ They balance out areas of too little or excess energy in the meridian systems - excess energy can often lead to pain ✅ They investigate whether there are any food sensitivities which are therefore exacerbating your systems 🙌🏼Essentially, kinesiology SPEAKS THE LANGUAGE OF YOUR BODY! 🙌🏼 I’ve never looked back after having kinesiology for my own health and I’m sure you won’t either!
