Sometimes Tragedy Strikes Unexpectedly, and Our Nation’s Heroes Know This All Too Well
Wednesday, we honored the anniversary of September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our country and so many lives. Reflecting on that day, I remember serving in the U.S. Army in Egypt. The events of 9/11 changed the course of my military career over the next 24 years. I know firsthand how unpredictable life can be, especially for our military, veterans, and first responders, who are often on the frontlines of tragedy.
This reality hit home once again recently with the story of our policyholders, Courtney and Aaron. Their story is a sobering reminder of how fragile life can be and the importance of protecting our loved ones. We don’t always know what tomorrow will bring, but we can prepare for it.
Providing that protection doesn’t always mean grand gestures or monumental sacrifices. Sometimes, the most minor acts of planning make the most significant impact on the lives of those we care about. Having the right policies in place ensures that the ones we love are taken care of when tragedy strikes unexpectedly.
As someone who has spent 26 years in service to this nation, I’ve seen how crucial it is to be prepared for the worst while hoping and praying for the best. Protecting your loved ones is a duty we should all take seriously, and it’s something we can all do.
Let’s honor the sacrifice of our nation’s heroes by safeguarding the futures of our families. If you’d like to know more about how to ensure your loved ones' protection, I’d be happy to discuss how we can help.
