As a medical specialist, I have realized that there’s one crucial skill that med school didn’t teach us - the art of effective communication! Effective communication IS the cornerstone of quality healthcare. As medical specialists, we are not only tasked with diagnosing and treating medical conditions but also with building strong relationships with our patients. Clear and empathetic communication is essential in ensuring patients feel heard, understood, and involved in their own care. By taking the time to explain medical concepts in a way that patients can easily understand, we empower them to make informed decisions about their health. Furthermore, effective communication can alleviate patient anxiety, build trust, and enhance overall patient satisfaction. It’s not just about what we know as medical specialists, but how we convey that knowledge to our patients that truly makes a difference in their healthcare journey. Let’s continue to prioritize communication skills in our practice to provide the best care for those we serve. #effectivecommunication #communicationskills #physician #femalephysician #surgeon #femalesurgeon #doctor #physicianlife #medschool #medicalschool #medicaltraining #healthcare #patientcare

🔍 Insight of the Day: As a medical teacher conducting viva exams in community medicine for the past 5 days, I've noticed something quite puzzling. 👉Despite asking the same questions since day 1, not a single student has been able to provide the correct answers. 🤔 Traditionally, students would rely on their peers who've already gone through the exam on day 1 to share insights. But it seems like the students not discussing with each other anymore? 🤷♂️Could living in a virtual world be affecting interaction? 🌐 What could be the reason behind this change? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences! 🧠💭 #MedicalEducation #CommunityMedicine
