The strategy behind 'Boxing Day listings' (Julian O'Dell and Jason Bushby) isn't about the specific advantages of Boxing Day itself. Instead, it's about positioning properties in the market *just before* the busy real estate period in January - in the best interests of clients (EEA 1979, and all that).
The day after Boxing Day, December 27th, saw portal search traffic return to higher levels than we'd seen since mid-November. And FWIW, Christmas Day itself has just over two-thirds(!) of the average search traffic of the last four months. The property market never sleeps.
