Thank you to WorkSmart for inviting aFit to the first WorkSmart University event and to Grant Wissman and Alex P. for attending on behalf of aFit! Among many takeaways were: -Jeremy York's sessions on Emotional Intelligence & Workplace Conflict -Being your Best employee retention tool Employees are asked to bring their “whole” selves to work. As employers and leaders, we must do the same. Companies that have a heavy focus on emotional intelligence outperform their peers. Same goes for employees, 90% of top performers have a high emotional intelligence. Many companies today are prioritizing efficiency and cutting costs, BUT we can't lose focus on the humanity of the employees. The staff is the driving force of a successful business! To be a great leader and have a great culture, means understanding and gaining the perspective of all employees. Additionally, Conflict is a given in the grand scheme of the workforce. It is how leaders approach the issue that will support or diminish an employee and/or clients concerns. To do so, leaders must also have a high emotional intelligence to ensure a positive company culture. Conflict can be a positive as it welcomes growth, change, and provides innovation for the company, but also a better relationship with the employee/client ultimately driving business. This is what we strive for at aFit and so was great to see so much time spent on this by WorkSmart’s speakers!

Exciting Highlights from our Verticals and Growth Team Off-Site in San Bruno! Thrilled to share about our recent team off-site in San Bruno, where our Verticals and Growth team converged for a multi-day event filled with innovation, collaboration, and strategic planning for the future. At the heart of our gathering were deep dives into our FY24 review and dynamic discussions around our FY25 strategy. Each pillar lead showcased their vision and strategic initiatives for the upcoming year, fostering alignment and synergy across the team. Amidst all the strategizing, we made sure to sprinkle in plenty of excitement! From lively ice breakers to imaginative creative exercises, every moment was a chance to connect, inspire, and let our personalities shine. Kudos to Matt Gee & Cristina Vega Watmough for their throughtful material and keeping this crew engaged day over day. And of course, we made sure to balance hard work with fun team events, including outings to Dave and Buster's and City Social. Building strong relationships and enjoying each other's company outside the office is just as important as achieving our professional goals. Overall, our team off-site was a tremendous success, leaving us energized, inspired, and ready to tackle the exciting opportunities ahead.
