As the Founding Supporter of the Economist Impact’s World Ocean Initiative, Blancpain is thrilled to announce the launch of the “Beyond the Surface” research programme. With only 8% of the ocean under any form of marine protection, and a mere 2.9% fully or highly protected from fishing and other human impacts, there's an urgent need for action. To address this challenge, The Economist, together with Blancpain's support, has developed a tool that highlights best practices for MPAs, which is part of a broader research programme called “Beyond the Surface”. This interactive mapping tool and website provides data points, insights, video snapshots and scorecard assessments on 10 selected MPAs, highlighting the marine protection practices that are working well and the ones that can be improved. It identifies the factors contributing to the effectiveness of MPAs, from their inception and design to their management and implementation, and ultimately, their outcomes. Power of Open Source AI Models Visualized. The gap is closing. Collaboration is key.

Is it then that closed source has reached the limits of current architecture paradigms faster and open source has eventually caught up, and we are going to be seeing iphone 4 to 15 like minor upgrades phase for a while. OR... is there a major unlock waiting to happen or possible only through open source and community?

"Every success story is a tale of constant adaptation, revision, and change." - Richard Branson   This insightful quote was the foundation of the latest workshop, organized by Katarzyna Widz for the U&C Hexagon Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial team from Germany. This session delved into the world of processes, highlighting how diverse approaches can lead to remarkable outcomes. 🔄✨ In this workshop, Kasia divided the team into two groups, each tasked with achieving the same goal but allowed to choose their own path. And guess what❓ Despite the differences in their strategies, both groups ultimately achieved similar result! 🎯👏   Conclusions❓ ✅ There is no one correct strategy. 🔀 With different strategies, we can achieve similar outcomes. This exercise underscored the power of flexibility, creativity, and collaboration in problem-solving.
