This is an important research finding. What I would add is that the ambient and traffic-related pollution found in homes that were linked to Alzheimer's can be captured with HEPA and VOC filters vs. our lungs. AirDoctor's state-of-the-art technology features both, and its UltraHEPA captures particles at 0.003 microns, surpassing the minimal HEPA standard of 0.3 by 100x. #airdoctorpro #idealliving This Is The Reason Why People Living In Cities Are At Higher Risk Of Alzheimer’s Disease https://lnkd.in/g7CNDbuM

The connection between environmental pollutants and neurodegenerative diseases is becoming clearer, with recent studies pointing to nanoplastics as potential culprits in Parkinson's disease risk. These minuscule particles have been found to invade nerve cells, disrupt critical cellular processes, and damage specific brain areas in animal models. This emerging research underscores the urgent need for further investigation into how everyday exposure to plastics may be silently paving the way to Parkinson's. Protecting Your Brain: Mindful Choices: Opt for eco-friendly, plastic-free alternatives whenever possible. Stay Informed: Keep abreast of the latest research to understand and mitigate environmental risks to your health. As we navigate a world filled with invisible threats, empowering ourselves with knowledge and making conscious choices can shield our brain health from unforeseen enemies. #HolisticHealth #HealthyLiving #HealthTips #HealthHero #AskDrNandi #PlasticFreeBrain #ParkinsonsPrevention

Fine particulate matter is small enough to penetrate deep into our bodies, which poses health risks including respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological systems effects. A new National Academies report identifies common sources of fine particulate matter, potential health risks associated with indoor exposure, and practical strategies to help mitigate population exposure and protect indoor air quality, prioritizing susceptible populations. “This report highlights how extensive study of indoor environments and engineering innovation can lead to public health improvements, especially among young children and those in marginalized populations,” said National Academy of Engineering President John Anderson. I have a relative with Alzheimer. It is the most cruel desease in my opinion and it is tough and heartbreaking for the family as well as the patient themself. Till we have the Alzheimer’s cure, the only thing we can do is lifestyle changes. And many studies have shown what an impact they have. There are main areas that help: 1. Nutrition 2. Exercise 3.Sleep Let’s change the odds in our favour! #alzheimer #nutrition #exercise #sleep

Reflecting on the 2024 Rejuvenation Summit in Berlin I am excited to see a continuing convergence between the deeply scientific world of geroscience and the growing interest of the 'lay population' in an active approach to healthy aging. Unlike specific diseases the aging process impacts everyone! That also puts more responsibility on us 'Insiders' to communicate with precision, humbleness and transparency. Talking serious science to the broader population is not easy but it's imperative that we get it right here. #rejuvenationstartupsummit2024 #healthyaging #hevolution https://lnkd.in/eAup6QKH
