In an awe-filled higlight moment at #IAC2024, the #ESA #Euclid mission released a first image mosaic, covering 1% of its final survey area - and containing 14 MILLION galaxies. This mission, led by ESA in cooperation with the Euclid Consortium of 1000s of scientists, will revolutionize astrononomy and cosmology. And, as the #Hubble and #Webb telescopes, forever change humankind's image of our world. This is what we can give to the world, and leave behind for our children, if we muster the courage to work together in peace. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gQ2edTzB European Space Agency - ESA #space #science Thales Alenia Space Airbus Defence and Space

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an enabling technology to identify a location of an object in space. RFID system currently used on board of ISS to identify the location of the hardware or consumables across station many of these tags applied on the hardware and RFID readers across racks or station module ping and read the number return the data to the ground control. This would allow the astronauts to identify and locate the hardware. While we have many crew traveling to ISS like being in new home it is hard to know every thing or find things on new location. This simple technology enables research and operations. Space Frontiers to innovate and use technologies. NOW, THIS IS WHAT I CALL AN AWESOME SCIENTIFIC EXHIBITION ↓ “Discover the most exciting human adventure in space” Today, I had the chance to experience the “Discovering the Most Exciting Human Adventure” exhibition in Copenhagen, and it felt like stepping into the heart of a space mission. Just like how rail networks push the limits of engineering to connect countries, this exhibition showcased the immense collaboration and innovation required to make space travel possible, with models, immersive displays, and detailed explanations of missions that are still out of reach for most of us. A literally mind-blowing experience for anyone passionate about technology and exploration. I survived the 360-degree spinning, but I’d better stay on rail ;) As a huge fan of Sci-Fi movies I had to try that out! Happy Sunday everyone! #SpaceExhibition #Technology #RailAndSpace #LifeInSpace NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration European Space Agency - ESA ___ 👍 Like if you find value, re-post ♻️, and follow for more inspiration, interesting rail, and innovation insights.

IAC Post #3 This post is all about Cost strategies for Bio-regenerative Life Support Systems - my PhD research topic. It is also the topic on which I will be presenting in session D3 on Friday. Building an earth-like environment on other planetary surfaces is something I intend on achieving. In the process to get there, I've realized the numerous elements to take into account for making such an environment a reality. One of the elements that played a major role, albeit in the background, was costs. The costs make or break any program. Therefore, Prof. Nicole Viola at Politecnico di Torino, Cesare Lobascio at Thales Alenia Space, and I came up with this proposal to develop a tool, as a part of my PhD, that enables the user to compare the life cycle costs of a human spaceflight mission. The generated values will help the user choose the necessary path forward - storage based systems or a bio-dependent system. If you're a researcher in the field, or an expert who helped develop some of the cost estimation strategies and relationships for NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, United States Air Force or other private agencies, let's have a chat at IAC about this topic. #CERs #BLiSS #IAC

The world tour continues... this time back at home! #Interoperability is a cornerstone of modern space systems engineering, essential for the seamless integration, communication, and functionality of diverse #spacecraft components and subsystems. The presentation will provide a detailed technical analysis of interoperability within space systems, emphasizing its critical role in enabling effective Space-to-Earth and Earth-to-Space technology #transfers. That's the topic to be delivered during the International Symposium on #Artificial #Intelligence (#AI), #Robotics and #Automation in #Space (i-SAIRAS 2024) led by the Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne, German Aerospace Center (DLR), the European Space Agency - ESA, JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. And not to mention, all my favourite buzz words in one conference! To infinity and beyond! (if you get the pun!)
