On 14 May, Pascal Faucher, Chair of the #EUSST Partnership, intervened as a speaker in the "Space Debris" session of the Management and Sustainability of Outer Space Activities Conference, organised by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and Agência Espacial Portuguesa | Portugal Space in preparation for the Summit of the Future in September 2024. GLOBAL SPACE COOPERATION WITH ISRO LEADING THE WAY Tanmaya....terrific achievement by our scientific and diplomatic organisations. Space cooperation in such endeavours go a very long way in establishing our global reputation, as well as pushing the envelope towards a better world. Today, at Venturi Space, we had the honor of welcoming His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, the Commander of the Apollo 15 mission, General David Scott, and astronaut Jean-François Clervoy. This cosmic visit of Venturi Space comprised four main stages: - A presentation of our rovers, - An overview of Venturi Space Monaco's lunar battery manufacturing technologies and techniques, - A discussion of the upcoming missions of Venturi Astrolab and Venturi Space, featuring insights from David Scott, - A showcase of Venturi Space Switzerland's hyper-deformable lunar wheel technology, - An exhibition by Philippe Tondeur dedicated to the helmets of aerospace history. The United States and Saudi Arabia have signed a framework agreement that opens new possibilities for cooperation with NASA. Known as the “Framework Agreement Between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Cooperation in Aeronautics and the Exploration and Use of Airspace and Outer Space for Peaceful Purposes,” it establishes the overall legal framework to facilitate and strengthen mutually beneficial collaboration between the two countries. “The agreement represents a turning point in the Kingdom’s journey towards building a strong and prosperous space sector,” said وكالة الفضاء السعودية | Saudi Space Agency Chairman Abdullah Alswaha... The future belongs to strong techno-economies. Pakistan was one of first Asian countries to start space program in 1960 but got derailed. PMLN government supported Pakistan’s space programme during 2013-18 under Vision 2025. National Centres for emerging technologies were established. We were hoping to put first Pakistani astronaut in space with the help of China in 2022. Pakistan’s space launch centre would have been ready by 2025. Unfortunately so called “tabdeeli” of 2018 disrupted the journey with crashing of economy & slashing of development budget. We are committed to restarting the journey with full force. Space exploration capacity has serious economic & security consequences. Pakistan’s astronaut will go in space in 2026 IA. Pakistan Space Centre with capability of producing high capability satellites will be made ready by 2027. I asked SUPARCO to plan a Pakistani spacecraft on moon before 2035 and establishing a research centre on moon by 2047. In next ten years we will build our own space launch centre IA.
