Not from round here? That's okay! We have a number of patients who fly in for the "VIP Intensive" experience and see incredible results. What does it involve? Think bootcamp for your eyes and brain. You work with us for a minimum 1 week at a time and we kick things off with a comprehensive vision analysis. From there we program a series of individualized Vision Therapy treatment sessions over the next 5-6 days (ideally 12 sessions total, around 2 hours per day) and we finish off the week with a progress evaluation to document how much you've improved both objectively and subjectively. But the fun doesn't stop there as we send you home with a thorough home maintenance plan to make sure that you keep up the vision gains you achieved throughout the week. Could this work for you? While this unique approach to Vision Therapy is highly effective, it's not for everyone. Our first step is to jump on a consult call to determine if this approach would be the right fit with your visual profile and the symptoms you may be experiencing. Want to learn more? Send us an email at hello@myvisionfirst.com and we'll provide you with all the info you need to see if a "VIP intensive" could be right for you.

Kristin Jacob, MD FACP and Tina Shah MD MPH this is so good to hear. This is more evidence that technology has advanced to the point where we can “flip the ratio” of 1/3 clinical time on meaningful work and 2/3 on #administrivia to 2/3 time meaningful work and 1/3 administrivia. Thanks to Abridge for developing this solution and to the leadership at Corewell Health for investing in it. Practice efficiency is paramount in Preventing #PhysicianBurnout.

“This is INCREDIBLE!” “amazed at this program. first patient note done in 41 seconds- I have a little tweaking to do with physical exam and template but overall impressed and amazed!” “Saw 17 patients today and notes are done. Way fast. This never happens.” Just a few of the exclamations we heard on Day 1 of the Go Live for the Abridge Pilot program. So grateful to see an example of technology working FOR the clinician and patient! These are the sustainable tools we need to embed to truly mitigate clinician burnout! Today marks a new era in the emotional and interactive storytelling of a rare disease patient and family at Bionews, Inc. Whether you are a patient, caregiver, family member, practitioner, or just an everyday person doing the daily grind...I promise this story will touch you as you experience what it feels like to be diagnosed with and live with a rare disease. It puts you in the heart of the family, showing what it was like growing up as a normal American family in the '90s when, almost overnight, a devastating diagnosis turned everything upside down. It’s hard to put into words what it’s like to meet someone who inspires you on a profound level. To find motivation in someone battling a terrible disease is a humbling experience. This is why I was determined to tell Matthew Lafleur's story: when a human touches you on an emotional level, inspiring you to rise above adversity, their story deserves to be shared. Matt and his sister were living a normal life in a small Louisiana town until a devastating diagnosis shattered their world. From the initial shock of the diagnostic journey to the family’s struggle to cope, Matt’s withdrawal and subsequent transformation into a passionate patient advocate highlight the incredible strength of the human spirit. Creating this immersive experience has been a labor of love. Witnessing Matt's extraordinary courage and determination has been deeply inspiring. You'll find yourself rooting for him at every turn. Through home movies, a father's heartfelt words, and Matt's own reflections, we delve into the depths of his journey, offering a glimpse into the heart of a fighter 💪. Discover Matt's inspiring journey. His resilience will move you. I help residents and new inpatient doctors / APP’s bill, write notes faster and reduce lawsuits by streamlining documentation (without fancy EMR tricks). | Have transformed 600+ with my video courses.
Welp. TIL why sometimes a CC isn't a CC! Learn with me: I was doing a chart review and found a CC (AKI) that wasn't captured. The problem? 3M wasn't recognizing it as a CC. We thought something was wrong with 3M. But, nope, 3M was right. There are some secondary codes that are not considered MCC/CC with certain principle diagnoses. In this case it was AKI with a principle dx of N13.2 (Hydronephrosis with renal and ureteral calculous obstruction). This list of exclusions can be found in Appendix C of the MSDRG definitions manual. What are some other notable common exclusions so yours truly doesn't get all excited about discovering a missed CC?! Also, be on the lookout for something special launching August 1! ------- If you liked this post, consider reposting to share with your audience. I'm Dr. Robert Oubre, a CDI medical director and hospitalist, and I teach residents and new inpatient physicians how to bill and document.

Our team can answer a lot of your questions about treatments, bookings, outcomes and progress, without you needing to wait to speak directly with Mel. All the practitioners in our clinic are brilliant therapists who are able to answer questions like: 🤔 Who should I see for a specific injury, like a rotator cuff injury or meniscus tear? 😱 I'm scared of needling, do I have to have it done? 😩 I don't know if I feel better yet, should I keep my next appointment? Don't feel shy or embarrassed to ask us anything! We are here to help you, and that includes if you feel like you aren't getting results as quickly as you would like. Our therapists don't take this personally, and are always happy to explain the treatment process, and let you know what expectations to have. Keep in mind that if you've had pain or injury for a long time without treatment, it may take a few treatments to calm the intensity of the symptoms and begin to rebuild strength, stamina and resilience in that area.
