Record oil and natural gas production under Biden. Record natural gas exports under Biden. If American refineries were retooled to use only beautiful, light American crude, we wouldn’t need to import a bbl of oil. All real data. Infallible data. Oil execs should praise Biden. If the male executives running publicly traded oil/gas corporation back the candidate Trump who said, “I just grab women by the pussy.” Candidate Trump who has been convicted by a jury of sexual asssult. Candidate Trump who told more than 37,000 lies while in office. Candidate Trump who took women’s health issues out of their control. The racist, homophobic candidate Trump. If these execs ignore the data and donate corporate money to this candidate who wouldn’t qualify for a janitorial position at their corporate headquarters then they have to go. Trump’s background would disqualify him from a janitorial position at XOM. Dear CEO, how the hell are you going to back him for President?

There was another train derailment today. This time of 38 coal cars. They happen all across the country every day. A friend reminded me of my testimony before the legislature, “it’s literally in their business model! And I’m not good with that!” Like what we saw first hand in western PA, these events cause a significant risk to people’s lives and the environment. On average, there are approximately 1,300-1,700 train derailments per year in the United States. Let’s pass the Railway Safety Act. It is a piece of legislation introduced after events in Ohio and PA that aims to enhance safety requirements for trains transporting hazardous materials and improving overall rail safety. As of today, the legislation has passed through the Senate Commerce Committee but is still awaiting a vote by the full Senate. No-brainer. https://lnkd.in/ehQ7pB-U

The oil and gas industry continues to dodge accountability by saying: That's not us, it's our contractor. They should have fair labor standards for all contractors that includes, at the very least, clean restrooms where drivers can wash their hands. Drivers should be paid for all hours worked, including time spent onsite waiting for a load or waiting to unload. CEOs who do not require fair labor standards for contractors should be forced to poop in a bucket. A loophole in federal law allows drivers to spend hours to days waiting with no sleep or pay.
