Diesel consumption in trucks: It's more than just the size.
We've been diving into fleet efficiency lately, and the numbers are eye-opening.
Did you know?
• A 23.5-tonne truck guzzles about 38 litres per 62 miles
• A 16-tonne truck sips a more modest 25 litres
• Light commercial vehicles? Just 9 litres for the same distance
But here's the kicker:
Speed, hills, load weight, and even aerodynamics play massive roles.
I'm curious: What strategies have you found most effective for improving fuel efficiency in your fleet? Read our latest blog - https://lnkd.in/ep34QMTn#FleetManagement#SustainableDriving

Vehicle Rake:
Rake is the term used to describe how much of a height difference there is between the front and the back of the vehicle. We measure rake from ground to the underside of the door sill, and most Tough Dog kits are to designed to give about 10-20mm rake from front to back, with the front slightly lower.
Having the vehicle sit completely level, or with the rear end lower than the front, can lead to lighter steering, reduced front tire grip during acceleration and braking, and inferior ride characteristics, especially when navigating off-road obstacles.

🚗 Understanding Drivetrain Systems: 4WD, FWD, and AWD 🚙
Choosing the right drivetrain for your vehicle isn’t just about preference—it’s about purpose. Here's a quick breakdown:
🔹 4WD (Four-Wheel Drive): Best for off-road adventures and tough terrains. Power goes to all wheels but can often be toggled on or off. Ideal for rugged conditions.
🔹 FWD (Front-Wheel Drive): Perfect for daily driving in urban areas. Power is sent to the front wheels, making it fuel-efficient and cost-effective, especially in mild weather.
🔹 AWD (All-Wheel Drive): Great for versatility. Power is distributed automatically to all wheels, providing improved traction in rain, snow, or light off-roading.
Knowing the difference helps you choose the right vehicle for your needs. Which one suits your lifestyle? Share your thoughts below! 🚘✨
