PAL WORKS! An evaluation conducted by Northern Arizona University professors found that PAL is remarkably successful in helping families find a healthy means to deal with adult addiction. PAL focuses on helping parents set firm boundaries, with love, giving hope for recovery. Key report findings include: - The PAL curriculum is strongly rooted in a clinical practice that emphasizes an understanding of adult development and family dynamics. - PAL helped to positively impact and greatly improve participant's mental and physical health. - Parents received practical strategies to stop enabling their loved one and set firm boundaries, compassionately. - Provided participants with strategies for supporting their loved one's recovery in a caring way.
