This week is taking us on the artistic route, with a #goodpractice from BRONKS THEATRE in Belgium about Co-creation - Artistic Creation with Children and Young People. According to Bronks, co-creation sharpens the relationship between art and society, addressing issues vital not only to its own functioning but to the entire performing arts landscape. The value lies in participants not just being addressed on a rational level, as in education. Artists adopt a different strategy, fostering insights and experiences that generate a different kind of knowledge. Participants have the space to explore assumptions and shape new images or identities leading to valuable conversations between artists and young participants about shared questions concerning the world we live in—a captivating quest for artistic innovation. This encapsulates the essence of the organic symbiosis between the participatory and production facets of BRONKS. They do this in various ways: through school projects and workshops outside of school (both short- and long-term). Find out more about what they do and how they work on our website: https://lnkd.in/eyP7Tw7a

Neil deGrasse Tyson and David Byrne speaking the truth about art education. Historical cultures are based on the legacy of art and creation. Without art, how do define our culture? Without art, how do we mark the differences in our generations? Support art every day, in your local schools, in your community, and abroad. "...art and science... are the only true things that we create that last beyond ourselves. Everything else, comes and goes." Art Education is about teaching creative problem solving that generational talents have used to change the world. https://lnkd.in/eFnWk7Xm

Art is essential to teach from the earliest stages of education because it nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving—foundational skills across all subjects. Art cultivates a unique approach to learning that connects deeply with subjects like math, science, and literature, reinforcing concepts through visual and hands-on experiences. For example, geometry finds practical application in sculpture, physics in painting techniques, and storytelling in visual compositions. Beyond academia, art education fosters innovation and adaptability, aligning with demands in the evolving job market. Fields like design, technology, and engineering increasingly rely on creative minds, highlighting how art provides skills and a mindset prepared for future challenges and opportunities. https://lnkd.in/eJQFP4qs
