Western Downs Regional Council released its 5-Year Public Arts Strategy in December of last year. The Council collaborated closely with the community and key stakeholders through various engagement sessions to gather valuable insights and identify opportunities that would shape the vision and goals for public art in the Western Downs region. Delos Delta was pleased to support this important initiative, aligning with the vision that ‘Western Downs is home to a public art program and collection with a reputation for quality, variety, and impact’. With a clear objectives and actions, the Strategy seeks to preserve and promote the role that public art plays in the Western Downs region and shape the direction of future public artworks.
