I don't think this is a surprise to employers. What might be is that the solution is training line managers. it's certainly one crucial way and why we offer training on how to manage people and be an effective line manager. Too often we see 'accidental managers' and those who have been in these positions without the training or development support to step into this role and be both a good manager and leader.
