Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as "the sum of activity and interventions required to ensure the best possible physical, mental, and social conditions so that patients with chronic or post-acute cardiovascular disease may, by their own efforts, preserve or resume their proper place in society and lead an active life". WHO BENEFITS FROM CARDIAC REHABILITATION? Men and women, of all ages, with heart problems of any degree of severity or who have had a heart attack or heart surgery, can benefit from cardiac rehabilitation. It is more specifically recommended for people who have: Recently suffered a heart attack Chest pain (Stable angina) Heart failure Heart procedures such as angioplasty and cardiac stenting Heart surgery such as coronary artery bypass surgery, heart valve repair and replacement Heart or heart-lung transplant

https://lnkd.in/gRVHmvvs Article title: Combined Application of Percutaneous Extracorporeal Lung Assistance System Together with Catheter-Directed Therapy for the Rescue of Massive Pulmonary Embolism after Failed Systemic Thrombolysis Author(s): Eva-Maria Brandner; Armin Huber; Karl-Ludwig Laugwitz; Tareq Ibrahim Journal: Journal of Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiology Journal ISSN: 2455-2976 Case Report: A 56 year-old, formerly healthy man, who had undergone surgery of the shoulder joint earlier that same day, was presented at our department with a sudden onset of severe dyspnea and thoracic pain. Clinical findings were central cyanosis, a heart rate of 120 bpm, a blood pressure of 100/70 mmHg and a decreased peripheral oxygen saturation of 89%. Prompt computed tomography revealed a massive, bilateral pulmonary embolism (Figure 1a-c). #CoronaryArteryDiseases #ValvularHeartDisease #Electrophysiology #CardiacElectrophysiology #Echocardiography #InterventionalCardiology #ClinicalCardiology #NuclearCardiology #AcuteCoronarySyndromes #ArrhythmiaEP #CVImaging #CVDPrevention #CardiacArrhythmias #Peertechz #PeertechzPublications #OpenAccess #ScientificJournals #PeerReviewedJournals #OpenAccessPublishers #CardiacPhysiology #CardiacRegeneration #CardiacRehabilitation #Cardiomyopathies #CardiovascularDrugs #CardiovascularTherapy #CardiovascularAnatomy #CongenitalHeartDefects

What Conditions Can Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP) Therapy Treat? Treatment is one of the leading treatments for heart disease. Enhanced External Pulsation (EECP) Therapy is for patients who have the following conditions: Stable coronary artery disease Patients experiencing angina (Chest, jaw, shoulder, back, arm discomfort) Considering an elective angiogram Patients NOT amenable to stent or bypass surgery (microvascular disease, complex blockages/lesions, or coronary spasm disease) A failed heart stent or bypass surgery Circulatory disorders Ischemic stroke Risk factors for cardiovascular disease (ie. hypertension, diabetes...etc) Cardiac rehabilitation post heart attack Looking for distributors for EECP machines,if you are interested, please feel free to WhatsApp+8613648398712 for more information. #eecp #heart #hearttreatment #eecptreatment #eecptherapy #healyourheart #alternativetreatment #angioplasty #hearthealth #Cardiology #heartattack #heart.

🔍 Advancements in Interventional Cardiology: Transforming Cardiovascular Care 🚑 Interventional cardiology continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in cardiovascular care, offering less invasive options for patients with complex heart conditions. Procedures like ''angioplasty, stent placement'', and ''coronary interventions'' have drastically improved outcomes for patients at high risk of heart failure or coronary artery disease. One key trend is the increasing use of percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), which enable more precise treatment with minimal recovery time compared to traditional surgery. The advent of robotic-assisted PCI is also gaining traction, allowing for greater accuracy in stent placement while reducing clinicians' radiation exposure. Furthermore, using ''hemodynamic support devices'', such as ''ECMO and Impella pumps'', in high-risk procedures provides crucial stability during complex interventions, leading to better long-term outcomes. As we continue to refine techniques and integrate advanced technologies, interventional cardiology will play a pivotal role in reducing mortality rates and improving the quality of life for cardiac patients. What are your thoughts on the future of interventional cardiology?! #Cardiology #InterventionalCardiology #PercutaneousIntervention #PCI #CoronaryIntervention #ECMO #Impella #CardiovascularCare #InnovationInMedicine

Conclusions "The need for prolonged #mechanicalventilatory support is prevalent and associated with other perioperative complications. More important, after adjusting for other covariates, prolonged mechanical ventilation is an independent factor associated with increased longitudinal mortality." What if there is a safe, accessible, cost effective, easy to use and implement solution that can have a positive impact on care and outcomes for these patients? Let's do a quick dive into this, fun with concept mapping video below, take home overall is , solutions that can expedite weaning to reduce time on positive pressure ventilation, and also potentially avoid perioperative window complications from PPV has the potential to improve outcomes in the hospital and possibly long term - post discharge in the home. #bcv #respiratorycare #criticalcare #homecare #npv The impact of prolonged mechanical ventilation after acute type A aortic dissection repair Diaz-Castrillon, Carlos E. et al. The TAVR explant pandemic is upon us! (Credit: Shinichi Fukuhara) Just last week we removed a TAVR that migrated into the LVOT, requiring an MVR. What was once an isolated AVR, became a TAVR explant and double valve. TAVR explant is not a straightforward case, the morbidity and mortality are high. It is imperative that us cardiac surgeons are at the table and active in the TAVR selection process. #aortic #aortaed #tavr #tavrexplant #pandemic #cardiacsurgery https://lnkd.in/gejN86rm

*Carotid stenting: standard technique complicated case * We consider carotid stenting to be one of the “easy” neurointervention procedures. This challenging case (old age, cardiac issue, heavy calcification, severe stenosis, angulated arteries) shows how a regular procedure can become complicated. However, with proper analysis of issues and bail our protocols in place, one can avoid complications…. #CarotidStenting #Neurointervention #MedicalChallenges #ComplicatedCase #Cardiology #VascularSurgery #PatientCare #Healthcare #MedicalProcedures #Endovascular #InterventionalRadiology #StrokePrevention
