"The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost One of the most famous and beloved poems, offering a reflective view on choice, individuality, and the paths we take in life. My favourite one, today dedicating these pearls to celebrate the essence and beauty of forests.. Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference On International Forest Day, let's draw inspiration from Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken." Just as the poet stands at a fork in the woods, deliberating the path to take, we too stand at a crucial crossroads in our relationship with nature. Each decision to preserve, protect, and cherish our forests is akin to choosing the road less traveled by, a choice that can lead to a more sustainable and harmonious coexistence with our planet. Let this day be a reminder of the impact our choices have, not just on our paths, but on the health and beauty of the world's forests.
