Exciting to see that Takeda's CEO, Christophe Weber, is bringing Value-Based Healthcare (#VBHC) to the World Economic Forum in Davos! His main messages, that fully resonate with me: ⚠️ Value-based healthcare, emphasizing patient outcomes, is a solution to current over-burdened health systems. ⚠️ Data governance establishing standardized collecting, reporting and analyzing would put patients at the centre of decision-making. ⚠️ Trust is vital for ensuring the responsible use of data. 💬 "Importantly, trust is earned only through actions and behaviours. Here are four pivotal messages outlined in an article by Matthew Prime of Roche: 1️⃣ 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐲:  There's no one-size-fits-all approach. What a great article. It is interesting how life science, payers, providers and patients are at an intersection now. In my opinion, data platform is STILL being sold in silos whereas the benefits of tying in the various constituents with data can drive innovation as well as better outcomes.

The biggest lesson from industry for me is stepping outside of your comfort zone, like entrepreneurs or anyone who starts or runs a business! What’s yours?? It’s risky and we are traditionally not risk takers in the healthcare world. It does however allow us to grow especially when what we step into a place we know is the “right place” to be. We actually all know how we would want to be treated but so few actually create that environment for our patients. We’d soon go out of business if we were in the corporate world!
