My deepest salute to every #woman who not only brings life into the world but also extends it when it’s needed most. They are the quiet givers of life, the unseen heroes, offering parts of themselves to save others. But here’s the truth: 80% of organ recipients in India are men. The life-givers- The Women- who #sacrifice so much, deserve equal care, if not more. As they extend the lives of others, who will stand up to ensure they, too, receive the gift of life in return? Why can’t men stand shoulder to shoulder in giving life, as women have done selflessly for so long? The power to save a life lies within us all—men too must rise to share that gift. It’s time for men to match the heart of women, to give as much as we receive. A life saved is a life shared, and every man can be a part of that legacy. Let men step forward, not just as recipients, but as givers of life. Together, we can balance the scales of sacrifice and compassion. I did my bid, it's time every one comes forward and contribute to save humanity. When men join women in giving life, we create a world where love, care, and hope are shared equally. It was my pleasure to address an event ‘Introducing Job Portal–developed by  #HEALTHCARECAREERS, Tech Mahindra Foundation and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH for allied healthcare professionals and providers, accessible to all, on a no-cost basis. While significant strides have been made in developing #skill infrastructure, challenges persist. Many programs lack standardization, leading to variability in training quality. Critical gaps include limited practical exposure, insufficient integration of technology, and a lack of collaboration between educational institutions and healthcare providers. To shape the #healthcare leaders of tomorrow, it's essential to address these gaps and build a robust pipeline of skilled professionals. As the diagnostic industry evolves with technologies like AI and machine learning, specialized training is crucial. Upskilling in areas like data analysis and emerging technologies must be prioritized to ensure innovation thrives. Continuous learning is the key to diagnosing tomorrow’s challenges. The rising demand in #homecare, new age diagnostics, robotics, and wellness services has created a need for new roles—home health aides, wellness coaches, Biomed tech, telehealth specialists, #compassion care medical aids etc. Companies often struggle to find qualified personnel for these positions. A dedicated job #portal could connect talent with purpose, empowering the next generation of healthcare heroes. Collaboration is the heartbeat of healthcare excellence. By aligning curriculums, creating internships, and continuous learning opportunities, we can bridge the gaps between skilling organizations and providers, building a strong foundation for a skilled healthcare workforce. "Care Worker", Recently I was at a felicitation ceremony of “Professional Care Worker’s week”, for honoring, addressing challenges, and building a future force of care workers. Their compassion and dignity commitment are the true strength behind our healing. While driving back, I got a call from my mom as she was not able to find her glasses and not willing to let careworker search.Getting tougher !!. After my dad passed away, my mom, found herself struggling even to the simplest of daily tasks. I watched her in silence, grappling with her new reality—alone in a house that once echoed with life. Her physical strength was fading, her memory slipping, and anxiety quietly took root in her heart. She needed more than occasional support - someone by her side—round-the-clock. I employed a technically competent caregiver at home. The idea of having someone there for her, offering companionship and assistance, felt reassuring. After a few weeks, reality hit me in ways I hadn’t expected .Though she was physically present & positive, I soon realized that it wasn’t just about attending to her physical needs—there were layers of emotional and mental care that demanded attention. Communication was strained; my mother was lost in her own world, and needed someone who could handle the fear, anxiety, and confusion that came with her memory loss and diminished mobility. There were moments when she panicked because she couldn’t remember things or when she felt disoriented in her own home. The caregiver, while diligent, struggled to understand these emotional cues. I found myself constantly intervening, monitoring both of them, making sure my mother’s needs were met, while also recognizing that the care worker, though well-meaning, lacked the training to handle such complexity. I was grateful to the care worker, but it also opened my eyes to the urgent need for better training—beyond physical care - the necessity for emotional intelligence, self-protection, and the need for the care worker to feel her own sense of self-worth. It became clear to me that, while the caregiver was an essential lifeline for my mother, the system needed to support them with the tools and education necessary to handle these intense emotional, mental, and physical demands. In a world, driven by advancements in technology, there exists an irreplaceable force—our care workers -not merely performing tasks but are the embodiment of #compassion, providing comfort in our darkest hours, and offering support when we are most vulnerable Unfortunately, they often face a lack of recognition. They have to contend with inconsistent training, limited resources, and insufficient compensation, leading to high turnover and burnout. It is time to recognize care workers as an essential profession. Let's invest in their #training #education and offer recognition. Healthcare is more complex today, a well-trained workforce with qualities of compassion & cutting-edge technology is vital. DRG Pathlab

It was my pleasure to be the guest of honour at, CAHO- Consortium of Accredited Health care Organisation North Zone World Patient Safety Day Workshop -theme- "Improving Diagnosis for Patient Safety: Get it Right, Make it Safe!" and Chair the session on culture of Safety - at Sehgal Neo Hospital Delhi led by Dr Narin Sehgal. In healthcare, patient safety is not just a priority—it is a fundamental right. The journey to accurate diagnosis is a critical aspect of patient safety, where getting it right the first time can mean the difference between life and death. Safety in diagnostics is not just a protocol—it's a promise to save lives by getting it right the first time. Improving diagnosis is essential for ensuring patient safety. This involves building a culture of safety, where accuracy, precision, commitment to excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and vigilance guide the healthcare process.We must invest in robust systems, and continuous learning, from symptom recognition to lab interpretation. The focus must be on preventing diagnostic errors through a combination of skill, teamwork, and technology. In diagnosis, we strive for light, Need to be right the very first time and bright. Get it right, get it first, every test, In diagnosis, we should aim for the best. Let us pledge,adopt a culture of safety and commit never to dismiss. It was wonderful to hear from Dr Narin Sehgal about the journey of Sehgal Neo Hospital, with over two decades of unwavering commitment to excellence. For me, it felt like coming back home, as my association with him now spans more than two decades. I must say, the dedication to excellence, the remarkable skills, and the high-quality standards at the hospital are truly impressive. My heartfelt appreciation goes to Dr. Sehgal for his incredible work, compassionate care, and seamless coordination for the betterment of all. Also, my congratulations to Satish on an excellent presentation on the culture of safety. It was full of valuable learning and great insights. Best wishes and thanks to everyone!
