We had our quarterly development day at Eight on Friday and here’s what we learned: Nadene still can’t follow instructions. Amy has to win—she’s the queen of competitiveness. Nikki’s creativity knows no bounds. Ava’s chug mug is officially Ireland-bound. Georgi’s favourite hobby? Tormenting us with tricky tasks. Simone has been with us forever, but somehow she still manages to pick up a new trick or two on these days. And Stephen is definitely not taking any of Nadene’s ideas on board. 🤷♂️ The real takeaway? I found something extremely worrying and so wrong today when browsing linkedin! As you know I am a full promoter of Diversity and Inclusion and wanting more women in the workplace especially at top positions!!!! It is sickening to see the lack of awareness on genders ! ( I believe this company referred to people identifying as women with the word DUDETTES). We are putting so much work ( extra working hours / late nights / sweat and energy) to change the industry to make it a more diverse and inclusive place where everyone feels welcomed … to then take 10 steps back with these posts that are so damaging for the whole gaming industry ! We ALL play a part and these posts are just damaging! If they cannot see the problem, they are also part of the problem …
