🚨You need To Know 🚨 In Egypt, specifying HDPE drainage pipes and fittings correctly is crucial. Drainage systems should always be labeled as non-pressure and made from P80 raw material. Unfortunately, some specifications mistakenly call for pressurized materials like P100 or PN6 to be used for drainage. This not only creates confusion but also leads to the unavailability of essential fittings, as PN6 injection-molded fittings are very rare to find. #EACOP_FOR_NON_TECHNICAL_PERSONS_PART_5 A choice had to be made on which best material to use for maintaining the heat along the pipeline. Three options were available: pipe in pipe (Pip), glass and polyurethane foam(PUF). PUF (a special type of sponge) was adapted for use because of its highest thermal efficiency with the lowest spend of resources. It is to be noted that pipe components for EACOP from the factory in China are made without bending and welding on the meeting sides of the folded plates. For this reason they are called #Seamless_pipes which are continuous in their make up. The most useful agreements to facilitate and support the smooth flow of all activities related to the construction of the pipeline have already been completed. Due to the wide scope of the legislative framework and legal composition of these agreements we shall not handle them in our series. For your information you can research more about them: production sharing agreements #PSA, environmental social impact assessment #ESIA, host government agreement #HGA, final investment decision #FID. In order to protect the pipes from being affected by the elements of weather, chemicals and soil conditions in a condition commonly referred to as #Corrosion. A decision was made to cover a protective coating of a high density propylethene #HDPE along the pipe sections after application of a protective coating, installing trace heating run ways, communication wires, wrapping around #PUF, then the HDPE. Currently almost pipe sections worth up to 500km are now undergoing these processes from the specially made coating plant in Nzega Tanzania. It is from here that they will be transported to the respective main camp pipe yards #MCPY for further handling. Due to the intensive nature of the works involved in pipe laying and installations, a dedicated permanent space had to be secured to cater to all space requirements. A permanent corridor known as the right of way #RoW that is 30 metres wife has been already acquired, paid for and compensation for all affected almost 99.5% completed. In this corridor nothing unrelated to the EACOP will be allowed to be setup in a way to facilitate construction, maintenance and upgrades where it will necessitate. The #RoW is really very crucial for the success of any pipeline such as EACOP along its all length.
