Audiologists need to do better... As hearing aid technology improves, the hearing providers who only offer a bare minimum of care are going to find patients opting for more cost-effective and OTC solutions that provide comparable benefits to much more expensive premium solutions. Only the providers who help patients get the most out of their prescription devices will be valuable in a near future with high-quality self-fit hearing technology.
