🎉 Today is Women’s Equality Day! 🎉 Join us in celebrating the courageous women who paved the way for gender equality! At Dress for Success Dallas, we honor this legacy by empowering women to achieve economic independence and take their rightful place in society. But the journey doesn’t end here! Let’s continue to advocate, support, and uplift each other as we work towards a world where every woman has the opportunity to thrive. What does Women’s Equality Day mean to you? Let's celebrate International Women's Day 2024 🎉 But let's not forget why we celebrate it: It is a day to recognize women for their achievements, regardless of national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political differences. At the same time, it is a day that reminds us of issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights and violence and abuse against women. Supporting women on these global issues starts very locally: in our minds. #investinwomen #inspireinclusion

🌸 On the occasion of International Women's Day, let us remember that March 8th does not celebrate "Women's Day," but commemorates the long struggle for equality, justice, and women's rights throughout history. ✊ This day has its roots in the early 20th-century labor struggles and the advocacy for better working conditions and women's right to vote. Today, it remains a call to action to fight against all forms of discrimination, inequality, or violence against women. 🔍 By highlighting the progress made but also the persistent challenges, let us remember that the fight gender equality is far from over. These words may be hard to hear but I accept it: “Let everyone fight for the empowerment of their own gender“. Each of us has a role play in creating a more inclusive, equitable, and respectful for the rights of all. Let us continue to commit to a world where every woman can flourish without hindrance or discrimination. #March8 #InternationalWomensDay #GenderEquality #EmpowerWomen #JournéedesDroitsdelaFemme

Both The Post and the SMH are in agreement today: the Liberal Party continues to exhibit a concerning trend underscoring a deep-seated issue with valuing women in the realm of politics. At a local level, the continual swapping of Deputy Mayors between just two men on Council, paints a picture of a party grappling with the principles of gender equality and inclusivity. From the underrepresentation of women in key leadership positions to reports of a culture that sidelines women's voices and contributions, the evidence points to a systemic problem that requires urgent and comprehensive reform... and this starts at a local level. Where are the women? #genderequality #localgovernmentelections #auspol #followers #liberalpartynsw #Peterdutton #news #politics

#WomenInDiplomacy | In 2018 Contracting Parties to the Convention on Wetlands adopted Resolution XIII.18 on Gender and Wetlands, the first Resolution which recognizes the importance of addressing gender equality and women’s empowerment in the implementation of the Convention. When women are represented in legislative bodies, it enhances the effectiveness of governance and ensures that a wider range of perspectives and experiences are considered in decision-making processes. ✨Today we celebrate all the women making a difference! #WetlandConservation #WomenAndWetlands

Congrats to Josie Cox on the publication of her book "Women, Money, Power: The rise and fall of Economic Equality". A timely read on how we got here and the lessons from previous trailblazers who pushed for gender equality. As Josie mentioned, we still have a long way to go. The book is packed with unique stories to educate and advance the economic empowerment agenda for us all. I'm looking forward to reading it and sharing it with my family. #economicequality #economicempowerment #wonenmoneypower #Congratulations #BookPublication #GenderEquality #NewRelease #Trailblazers #BookRecommendation #InspiringReads 📚

International Women’s Day is a global celebration that takes place on March 8 each year. It serves as a powerful reminder of the ongoing struggle for gender equality and women’s rights. This day encourages us to reflect on the progress made and the work that remains to be done. The theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.” It emphasizes the importance of supporting and empowering women in various aspects of life. Let’s envision a world where bias, stereotypes, and discrimination no longer exist—a world where diversity is celebrated, and women’s achievements are recognized and valued. Together, we can create positive change and inspire inclusion for all. Remember, International Women’s Day belongs to everyone, everywhere. Let’s take action, raise awareness, and work collectively toward a more equitable and just world. Join the movement and be part of the change! 🌍 #Hellmann#ForTheBetterTogether#WomenWhoLead#
