Authority Magazine reached out to do a new series highlighting women in AI. Even as I write this post, I am being asked by LinkedIn if I want to rewrite it with AI..... Most of us have been using some form of AI for years. Now it's the advances in GenAI and the development of LLMs (large language models) that have captured a lot of the conversation since the end of 2022. Today, we're still at a place where advanced analytics and machine learning continues to power the largest share of task automation. I get asked pretty often about using GenAI in Couture Technologies VisualizeX virtual try on product and the answer is that it will play a role in the future, but today, it is not the right technology to power virtual try on tools that focus on realistic (and accurate) fit of apparel. What are your thoughts? Are you using GenAI-powered tools in your daily work? Are you at a stage where you play around with different tools but aren't using them (for real)? Or you haven't started using them?

Some may find the use of AI in fashion "presentations" controversial, but when it's utilized to create captivating experiences and transport viewers to enchanting realms, why not embrace it? AI can enhance the buying experience by enabling accurate virtual try-ons.

The Paradox of AI-Generated Diversity 🤔 AI-generated models allow for all body types, skin colors, and ages to be mirrored in the digital realm. Virtual models also allow for customers to see themselves in what they want to purchase, enhancing the shopping experience while simultaneously reducing waste from returns. Ideally, AI-generated models present a more inclusive array of models that reflect society's diversity. But digital diversity isn't the real deal. The idea of AI embodying diversity feels like an oxymoron; artificial hardly equates to 'authentic' or 'unique' Some questions: - Can we move from AI models being surface-level representations to meaningful inclusion? Is this technology promoting authenticity or just a simulated version? - How do we make sure virtual models don't replace real model/photographer jobs? Is there a world where digital diversity isn't a substitute but a complement to real human diversity?

AI versus designers: who will prevail?  How will this massive AI influence affect us? Are we destined to be replaced, or can we use these technologies to enhance our human work?
