Hate getting your photos taken? You're not alone! Let me tell you about some simple 5 posing tips I use to help my clients look and feel more natural and relaxed on my brand shoots. 1. Relax the shoulders 2. Unclench your fists (we hold a lot of tension in our hands) 3. Sit at the edge of a chair (it will stop you from slouching) 4. Lean slightly forward (it's all about the angles) 5. Gently push forward your chin to get rid of the nasty double chin Try these at your next photoshoot and you'll see a big difference. I am a cat lover. However, there are definitely times that I simply cannot have them in the professional photos, as much as I would love them to! Don't you just love it when your expectations get blown out of the water? I had a photoshoot with the wonderful Sarah Pickin to add some oomph to my website. My expectations were already high after seeing her work (you should really check her pictures out; they're stunning). But that didn't stop me from gasping at the quality of the pictures when they hit my inbox. I had to stop myself from running to the PC there and then to upload them, but it was late so had to rein myself in. 😄 The thing is, it wasn't just the photos that were superb. It was: → the buckets of enthusiasm and commitment right from the first email → getting knee-deep into my brand values to know exactly how to capture them → the lengths Sarah took to make me feel comfortable and part of the (very thorough) process It was a little scary at first (I've never had professional photos taken before), and I had no idea what to expect. But the whole process was smooth and pain-free – service providers, take note! That's not forgetting the many laughs we had over coffee. ☕ P. S.
