Today is my one year anniversary at Litmos, and WOW is really all I can say 🥂 I've learned so much in the last 12 months, but mostly this journey has confirmed that I'm in the right place, doing the right things with all the right people.
I've come up short a lot in my life, but when I took this offer 12 months ago I committed to myself that I would be successful no matter what it took. I promised I would not let down the people who gave me a chance, and I promised myself that I would work hard, get creative, and take everything I'd learned in tech and apply it to my role as an Account Executive.
It worked, and here I am, a year later at the top of my Q4 leaderboard - SO CLOSE TO HITTING QUOTA (we'll get there) - my first year at a brand new company!!!! Here are some of the things I've done to get there...
1. I do what I say I will do - Whether it's an email, next steps invite, a phone call, more information, a quick call or an internal meeting. If I say I'll do it, I will.
2. Quick Response - Emails, Text Messages, Follow up questions. ANSWER THEM quickly. Everyone's time is important, so the faster I get my prospects what they need the more confident they'll be in my ability to execute.
3. Create a sale process that works - This can vary from prospect to prospect, but the overall sales process should look similar. Some may be more strategic, others more transactional, but the defined process looks and functions the same, and IT WORKS!!
4. Self Help - Meditation, motivational speakers, webinars, fitness, reading. These are all things that have helped me get better, and I try and do at least one every day - some days I do 2 or 3. The point is, do something that makes me a better person at work and otherwise.
5. Mentorship - I find people I look up to and ask them for help and guidance, and I do my best to help people who ask for help. I have so many people who have taught me so much without even knowing it!!! These relationships matter so much to me and I value the relationships I have today... I wouldn't be here without them.
