I'm excited to participate in the upcoming invite-only Oppenheimer Leadership Network (OLN) 2024 workshop, “Imagining the Future: The Role of Our National Labs in Realizing a Sustainable, Resilient, and Equitable Energy Future”. The SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and the OLN will convene visionaries and thought leaders for a one-day, invitation only workshop at Stanford University to explore, define, and advance the role the of National Labs in supporting the transition to a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable global energy future. Through panels, keynote presentations, and “unconference” sessions, we will explore key themes relevant to enhancing the ability of the National Labs to support the global energy transition. I travel home from the Inner Development Goal conference in Stockholm filled with inspiration, ideas and hope. A lot of wise things were said by great speakers. Even Rilke was quoted. My main take-away is that it is obvious that so many people and organisations are now adopting the notion of inner development as crucial for green transformation. The US White House Leadership Programme adopts it and so does UN Climate Change Global Innovation Hub. I meet many more entrepreneurs this year who has developed exciting tools and models based on the IDGs - like Ella Stadler-Stuart at Rflect. This I take as a promising indicator! We can all use the IDG Framework and put it to use in our own field of expertise – as we do with the IPA - Innovation Portfolio Approach – yet ensure that the efforts are connected. https://lnkd.in/dNzySVHe
