Great to be a part of this panel today discussing the evolution of office demand. Interesting insights from my fellow panellists on a range of topics. One particular point of note as we work our way through changing office demand is the importance and value of productivity, creativity, community and company culture, as experienced best from the office workplace (with that workplace adapting to meet the changing needs of businesses and their employees).

Looking back we realised that at the start of 2023 organisations were engaging in projects that made their workplaces more appealing for staff. At Waldron this meant we saw much recovering and refurbishment of soft seating as it was repurposed to create flexible working and social areas within the workplace. Throughout the year this trend remained stable but gradually more task seating began to appear in projects suggesting that staff were beginning to return to the office on a more regular basis. Seating was being repaired and recovered more frequently for the comfort and safety of colleagues. Looking forward, these trends, which were rooted in the changes occuring in the workplace, seem set to continue.
