A catalogue of disasters. 📖⚠️ On Thursday, 1 August in West Wales, our examiners found this van emitting excessive smoke. They decided to stop it and took it off the A40 for examination. There were numerous issues with the van: - pump to the tipper mechanism insecure and ready to fall off ❌ - exhaust leak with fumes likely to enter the cab ❌ - trailer not displaying a rear registration plate ❌ The trailer lighting defects were due to the driver not connecting the vehicle to the trailer due to an incompatible connection. This was a foreign driver and non-GB operator. We took a court deposit of £1,500 alongside immediate prohibitions and an £80 immobilisation notice. The driver will now have to attend court to answer for their offences. It's necessary to do appropriate walkaround checks and regular maintenance before you set off. It's on Irish plates 3 letters 4 numbers. And northern Irish at that so not really foreign
And it has the "trust a trader" sticker on the door😠
Assalamu Alaikum, I am a driver, I have Saudi Arabia driving license, license quality light, driving experience about 20 years, need a job very much. my contract number 0568223053
By the looks of it it's heading for export from a auction?
Good to hear that this one was caught. The bigger issue is that foreign operators believe that their chances of being prosecuted are negligible that's why they are here creating hazards.
Project manager......wouldn't like to think how the project is complied with if they can't get vehicle basics correct!!

I see it this daily up and down the M5 absolutely shocking what standards people are driving with, reckless!
