It's always a pleasure to have a well-prepared Dhansak. The ideal blend of tikkhu, khattu, and mitthu flavours (spicy, sour, and sweet), along with melt-in-your-mouth meat on the bone, is simply unbeatable. I, for one, don't see myself growing tired of this renowned dish. The traditional Dhansak is the epitome of Parsi cuisine. What could be more appropriate for a Parsi foodie—someone who enjoys everything Parsi? 99% of Parsis like their Dhansak. It is what we identify with when we talk about food and cuisine. It's simple food, but to be honest, all of our food is about flavour rather than pricey ingredients. Have you tried it yet? The vagharela chawal is rice that is caramelised, and the kachumbar is a salad made up of diced tomato, onion, and cucumber that has been sprinkled with salt and tossed in fruity vinegar. Beetroot, green chillies, fresh mint, and coriander are optionally added. Mango Mastani Recipe Prep Time: 5 minutes Total Time: 5 minutes Course: Dessert, Drinks Cuisine: Indian Servings: 3 Calories: 179 kcal Author: Hari Chandana Ponnaluri Ingredients: 2 cups Mango pieces 1 cup chilled Milk 1 tbsp chopped Almonds 1 tbsp chopped Pistachios 3 to 4 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream or any ice cream 3 to 4 glazed cherries 1 to 2 tbsp Sugar or as required Ice Cubes optional Tutti Frutti as needed (optional) Instructions: 1. Combine the chopped mango, milk and sugar in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. 2. Pour this thick milkshake into the serving glasses and top with a scoop of ice cream. 3. Now top with chopped almonds, pistachios, cherries, tutti frutti and mango pieces. 4. Serve immediately.
