Is Innovation a Destination or a Journey? Here are my thoughts We have a rapidly evolving educational landscape, and it’s crucial to remember that innovation is a process, not a specific tool/solution and it’s not a destination. This is especially true when looking at AI solutions, EdTech, SecurityTech, etc. As an educational leader, I’ve seen firsthand how embracing this mindset fosters a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability. Innovation is not about a single breakthrough moment or a magic bullet. It’s about the journey – a series of steps, experiments, and learnings. And it is as much about the adoption, improvement, and sunsetting of solutions as it is bringing in new ones. In Broward County Public Schools, where I serve as Chief Information Officer, I have created and implemented the PITAC Model (Planning, Implementation, Transition, Adoption, and Continuous Improvement) for innovation management. This model underscores the importance of seeing innovation as an ongoing process rather than a one-time event. And most importantly it’s about solving Problems of Practive rather than finding problems to fit solutions. By focusing on continuous improvement, we ensure that our strategies and technologies not only address current challenges but also adapt to future needs. I am excited to see the future that we are able to bring in. #whateverITtakes #EducationInnovation #ContinuousImprovement #EducationalLeadership #DigitalTransformation

Excellent insight. I’d like to explore this with you further.

Your insights on innovation as a journey rather than a destination resonate deeply, especially in the context of education and technology. 🚀 Generative AI can be a valuable ally in this journey, enhancing the quality of work and accelerating the cycle of continuous improvement you've championed with the PITAC Model. By leveraging generative AI, educational leaders can not only solve current Problems of Practice but also anticipate and adapt to future challenges with greater efficiency. 🎓✨ I'd love to explore how generative AI can further support your vision for Broward County Public Schools. Let's book a call to discover the transformative potential of AI in your ongoing quest for educational innovation. 📅 Cindy

Absolutely agreed 👍Education is indeed a journey, not a destination. As Aristotle once said, "The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet." 📚 Keep leading the way in EdTech, your insights are invaluable! 🌟
