As RPAS integration becomes increasingly important during the wartime, so does the civil-military cooperation. IRINA SESAR3 project coordination team works as a part of Civil-Military Cooperation (CMC) Division of EUROCONTROL. Throughout our research, we consult with various military and security experts, as well as diverse set of stakeholders, to ensure that both the military and civil perspectives are considered in the evolving RPAS landscape. We would like to thank Head of the CMC Division General Major Karsten Stoye who presented our project last week during the UAV Technology Conference in London. Together, we contribute to harmonizing civil and military airspace in Europe. 🤝 ✈️ #civilmilitarycooperation #civmil #IRINA #eurocontrol #drones #RPAS #intergation #SJU #sesar #innovation #aviation #DigitalSky #HorizonEurope #UAS #research
Head of Civil-Military Cooperation and Military Advisor to the Director General EUROCONTROL, Generalmajor
Today, I had the privilege of attending the 9th annual UAV Technology Conference in London. The event, hosted by SAE Media Group, is a premier forum for discussing the latest advancements in uncrewed aerial systems (UAS). My presentation highlighted the transformative impact of UAVs on modern warfare, emphasizing their role in long-range reconnaissance, battlefield awareness, and precision strikes. Further insights into the future of UAV technology and its regulatory landscape were also addressed. Obviously a great opportunity to point out our progress within the IRINA project! A big thank you to all the speakers and attendees for sharing their groundbreaking ideas. Let’s continue to shape the future of UAV technology together! #UAVTechnology #Innovation #UAS #EUROCONTROL #CMC #IRINA

Watching the waves. Seagulls are often associated (wrongly) with the sea. They can be seen watching the waves, or riding on them while waiting for some tasty dinner to come their way. This fellow also appears to be watching waves, but he won't be catching any fish here. These are the waves of a curved standing seam metal roof covering. And his main interest is in protecting the two young chicks in the gutter beneath his feet. Picture taken from distance with a drone-camera telephoto lens during an aerial roof survey. #roofinspection #drones #buildingsurveying #facilitiesmanagement
