The six primary instruments, often informally referred to as the “six-pack,” are essential for flight. Let’s break them down👇🏻 Airspeed Indicator (ASI): Measures the aircraft’s speed through the air. Attitude Indicator (AI): Displays the aircraft’s pitch and roll attitude relative to the horizon. Altimeter: Provides altitude information, indicating the aircraft’s height above sea level. Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI): Shows the rate of climb or descent. Heading Indicator (HI): Displays the aircraft’s heading (direction). Turn Coordinator: Indicates the rate of turn and coordination during maneuvers. These instruments are crucial for safe and precise flying! 🛩️✈️ #AviationInstruments #FlightEssentials #PilotTraining #AircraftSafety #InstrumentPanel #AviationKnowledge #SasidharanMurugan #Itzmemsd

Have you ever been curious to know the meaning behind the big number (25R) written on a runway strip? It's not rocket science actually! Runway numbers are derived from their magnetic azimuth (compass direction) in relation to magnetic north. This bearing is rounded to the nearest ten degrees and then divided by ten to give a shorthand numeral. For instance, a runway aligned with a magnetic heading of 270 degrees (due west) is numbered 27. Similarly, a runway facing 90 degrees (due east) is numbered 09. This system ensures that the runway number provides an immediate indication of its orientation, which is essential for pilots, especially under poor visibility conditions. And if you know what letter, L, R and C mean, please comment. Check out this simple explanation in the YouTube video linked below. Altitude-sensing aneroids play a crucial role in flight systems. But keep in mind that the aneroid will only be as good as the metal bellows or diaphragm capsule that serves as the pressure sensing element. Here’s a brief introduction to what you need to know about aneroid performance: https://lnkd.in/dv4sgY3c #flightsystems #flight #aviation #sensing #engineering

⚠️Flight Planning for Data Collection 🚫Not as simple as just setting up and flying ✅️One has to set parameters to acquire data for output required. ---Is accuracy are requirement or not? If yes, What should the resolution be, then what Alitude to fly to achieve that resolution? ---What % front and side overlap would help to collect high quality data? ---What is the coverage area? Will it take one battery or multiples batteries? 1 big mission or divided to 3 or 4 missions? ---What kind of environment/weather are you flying in? Open fields, amongst buildings, dense forest, by the sea, high winds, sunny day, cloudy day, low light, etc. Attention to detail matters❗️ #flightplanning #datacollection

🚀 Overcoming the Challenge of Sourcing Sample Telemetry Data (with a Space Twist!) 🚀 One of the biggest hurdles in testing and training with telemetry data is the lack of readily available, quality sample data. Whether you're working on a rocket launch or aircraft flight testing, sourcing real-world telemetry data that accurately reflects the use cases you want to test can be a major roadblock. After countless hours of searching, trying to clean mismatched data, and dealing with incomplete datasets, I realised that sometimes the best way forward is to take matters into your own hands. So, instead of continuing the search, I decided to create my own sample telemetry data from scratch and why not use Apollo 11 as a test case using real 1969 data—because why not take a little inspiration from history's greatest mission? By building my own datasets, I could: - Control the variables and the mission outcomes, —whether they went perfectly or encountered challenges. - Simulate real-world conditions that align perfectly with my testing requirements. - Continuously iterate and improve the dataset to better serve future use cases. It wasn’t easy, but the flexibility and precision I gained have been invaluable. For anyone facing similar challenges, don’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves and create the resources you need. 💡 #DataChallenges #Telemetry #DataQuality #Apollo11 #SpaceInspiration #Acroamatics #ADAT #ITC
