📣Product Spotlight! Designed to enhance vessel performance in extreme shallow water conditions, the Shallow Draft Thrusters by Veth Propulsion by Twin Disc are at the forefront of maritime innovation. In response to climate change and declining water levels in rivers worldwide, the ability to navigate shallow waters has become more critical than ever. These Shallow Draft Thrusters are designed to meet this challenge head-on, allowing shallow-draft ships to operate efficiently in water depths as shallow as 2 meters. They also feature an enclosed propulsion design that places the system within the ship's hull, maximizing safety and efficiency. Caps with integrated thrusters increase the propeller diameter, leading to more efficient propulsion and reduced power consumption. Learn more about Veth Propulsion: https://lnkd.in/ggrFmHsf

👩✈️👨✈️ 🔊🔊: Attention to vessel owners & operators if your vessel is too loud, it doesn’t operate efficiently. This results more green gas emissions (GHG) and underwater radiated noises ( URN) by consuming more fuels. Get baseline URN measurements of your vessel now so that you can comply with International Maritime Organization’s revised guidelines to reduce URN and receive incentives at Ports. You want to improve your URN reductions on your next dry dock services to ensure you still have your license to sail when regulations are in effect.
A new step forward towards quieter oceans has been reached! The EU-funded LIFE PIAQUO project has collected more than 850 ship signatures offshore #Fos-sur-Mer and currently offshore #Genova harbour thanks to the SmartURN buoy developped by Quiet-Oceans. The results of these measurements of opportunity are available at : www.urn-ship.com. Shipowners, check on-line if your ship has been measured ! You can ask for your measurement statement and request a detailed analysis report. #underwaternoise #sdg14 #IMO #marinebiodiversity #MSFD

“Real-time data, rather than time-based snapshot data, brings greater accuracy to any maintenance strategy. ABS, for example, in its 2021 Advisory on Fatigue Monitoring of Floating Production Installations, noted how it can benefit fatigue calculations by providing more accuracy than interval-based approximations, potentially leading to higher remaining fatigue life for structural connections.” Read the full article by our CEO Niklas Hallgren – Smart Structural Monitoring: Condition-based, preventative strategies Enhance FPSO Life Cycle – in the latest issue of Sea Technology magazine. https://lnkd.in/efxZzjWT #fpso #offshore #offshoreenergy #safetyatsea

At this time every year, citizens and decision-makers gather at Folkemødet on Bornholm to engage in meaningful dialogue. From Teledyne Marine, Ole Søe-Pedersen and Lars Munk participated in talks and events throughout the days. Folkemødet attracts around 60,000 participants who join debates, workshops, and speeches. Lars Munk took part in a panel debate on Public Private Partnerships, addressing Critical Underwater Infrastructure, Mission Vital Infrastructure, and Security of Supplies — topics of significant relevance in today's climate. Given Bornholm's proximity to the recent underwater explosions at the Nord Stream pipeline, safety and security were prominent themes this year. It is evident that surveying and monitoring the sea are crucial for protecting critical underwater infrastructure and ensuring the safety of our waterways and ports. Achieving these goals requires robust collaboration between government and private companies, and this is where meaningful dialogue becomes indispensable. #Folkemødet #FMdk #MarineTechnologies #EveryWhereYouLook
