🎓 Just completed the "Reasoning with O1" course from DeepLearning.AI! In the rapidly evolving landscape of LLM capabilities, finding reliable sources of information can be challenging. While DeepLearning.AI stands out as a reputable platform, I am sharing my honest perspective on this course. The course effectively showcases OpenAI's O1 capabilities through practical examples. It serves as a starting point for technical practitioners, though mastering these concepts will require significant hands-on experience. The content might be more detailed than necessary for managers seeking a high-level overview. Key takeaways from my learning: 1️⃣ O1's new "think before you answer" principle advances LLM reasoning capabilities by simplifying prompt requirements and moving beyond explicit Chain of Thought approaches. 2️⃣ Enhanced capability to create execution plans for tasks that utilise LLMs with various tools, making complex workflows more manageable. 3️⃣ The mega prompting section, while fascinating, demonstrates the complexity of production-level prompt optimisation.
