Last Thursday DSDHA Associate Michael Breen showed members of the BCO NextGen around 16 Blossom Street, part of the soon to be completed Norton Folgate scheme. It was great to be able to demonstrate how the character of the historic streetscapes of Blossom Street and Folgate Street have been restored and accentuated as a result of the sensitive development, while Blossom Yard, which has now opened to the public, looked splendid in the sunshine.

This week the BCO NextGen toured British Lands Norton Folgate development, taking a look around the masterplan and 5 unique buildings which are contextually and historically responsive. Providing an alternative workplace experience to the large office towers of Broadgate just over the road. Great architecture, clever engineering, and innovative development. A combination of new, retained, and heritage structures demonstrates a great Retrofit First, Not Retrofit only approach to the city. Thank you to Lauren Lewis and British Land NextGen for organising. Sponsorship from British Land and M3 Consulting Insightful tours from the design team: Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, AKT II, Arup, DSDHA, Morris+Company, and Stanton Williams #masterplan #networking #nextgen #development #bco
