DSTA’s Post

Just concluded a fruitful trip to the US, where my team and I had the privilege of engaging some leaders in tech, government and think tanks / academia. I truly appreciate the insightful sharing, thought-provoking and interesting ideas, as well as collaboration opportunities for DSTA to advance Singapore’s defence tech capabilities. Tech is moving rapidly, and we’re seeing the acceleration of tech adoption to deliver innovative solutions, including for defence. Many of these companies have cutting edge solutions and have first hand insights on how concepts of operations are evolving. Collaboration is essential as it allows us to tap diverse perspectives, expertise and experience to push the boundaries. Advanced platforms, AI and autonomy, cloud technologies will deeply impact the battlefield and we are deepening our technical competencies in many of these areas. My heartfelt thanks to all our hosts in the US for their hospitality and the enriching conversations. We learnt much on this trip. I’m excited to see how we can apply some of the fresh ideas to drive innovation further, and explore more exciting collaborations to push the envelope and stay ahead of the curve.
