The Best Customer Loyalty Programs Don’t Have Points https://lnkd.in/gzxnfcY5 via Shaun Belding I have always believed this about #customerloyalty. Call it sticky, call it bribery, call it entanglement, whatever you want. If it lacks trust, it’s not loyalty.

Celebrate – Often! via Brad Cleveland https://lnkd.in/g4X2SVig When we take the time to acknowledge achievements, it really helps everyone see how their work fits into the bigger picture. It not only boosts morale but also reinforces that what they do matters. Plus, it builds team spirit and unity—who doesn’t enjoy a little celebration now and then? Recognizing milestones keeps people engaged and eager to push forward. And let’s be honest, saying you “don’t have time” for celebrations? That's a missed opportunity!

To put a bow on the 2024 Customer Service Week. This post is perfect. Appreciating your team daily can really transform the workplace. Here’s why it matters: Boosts Morale: A little recognition goes a long way. When employees feel valued, they’re happier and more motivated to hit those goals. Job Satisfaction: Regular appreciation makes people feel good about their work. Happy employees stick around longer, which is a win for everyone. Team Spirit: A culture of appreciation strengthens bonds. When team members feel acknowledged, collaboration improves, and everyone works better together. Increases Productivity: Feeling appreciated often leads to employees going the extra mile. Engaged workers are more productive and committed. Positive Vibes: Acknowledge your team regularly, and you'll see a happier and more positive work environment. It just feels good. So, if you want to build a thriving workplace, make appreciation a daily habit. It’s simple but powerful,

"A person who feels appreciated will always do more than what is expected." Recognition is a tremendously underrated leadership skill. Leaders who recognize and appreciate their team's work have: ↳Higher engagement ↳Lower turnover ↳Better productivity And it's also just the right thing to do. A no-brainer all around. Here are 15 ways leaders can better recognize their team members: 1) Handwritten Note ↳Send a personalized thank you note acknowledging specific achievements 2) Time Off ↳Reward hard work by offering additional time off, even if just a few hours 3) Public Shout-Out ↳Publicly praise team members during meetings to highlight their contributions 4) Spot Bonus ↳Provide bonuses outside the regular compensation cycle for exceptional work 5) Team Lunch ↳Organize a meal to celebrate a big success or show appreciation for ongoing effort 6) Growth Opportunities ↳Support hard work by offering to pay for courses to help employees grow even more 7) Autonomy ↳Show appreciation by giving trusted employees more freedom and responsibility 8) Milestones ↳Acknowledge and celebrate work anniversaries or project completions with small gifts 9) Social Media ↳Highlight employee achievements on the company's social media platforms 10) Offsites ↳Organize fun team outings to recognize work and strengthen team relationships 11) Nomination ↳Put employees forward for industry-wide recognition or awards 12) Flexibility ↳Allow team members to have flexible work schedules, showing trust and appreciation 13) Formal Program ↳Enable peer-to-peer shout-out board, employee of the month programs, etc. 14) Feedback ↳Ask for, listen to, and actually act on employees' feedback and ideas 15) Personal Thanks ↳Simply say "thank you" - genuinely, in-person, and often Recognition is low (and often no) cost, and has a huge impact. Make sure you're using it often. Any you'd add to this list? --- ♻ Repost to share this with your network. And follow me George Stern for more.

Over and over and over. I tell myself this daily. Challenging to practice, but maybe the best advice ever. Your thoughts?
No point focusing on what you can’t.

I love this visual. Creating a zero-blame culture is all about making your team feel safe, valued, and supported. Here’s how you can do it: - Open Communication: Encourage everyone to share their thoughts without fear. Create a space where team members can express concerns and ideas freely. - Shift Focus from Blame to Learning: Instead of pointing fingers when things go wrong, ask, “What can we learn from this?” This mindset helps everyone grow together. - Lead by Example: Share your own mistakes and how you’ve learned from them. Vulnerability goes a long way in building trust. - Celebrate Efforts: Acknowledge not just the big wins but also the small steps and efforts. This builds a positive atmosphere and encourages everyone to keep trying. - Constructive Feedback: When giving feedback, focus on actions, not the person. Say things like, “Next time, we might try this approach,” rather than criticizing past mistakes. - Team Values: Collaboratively establish team values that support a zero-blame attitude. When everyone is on the same page, it fosters a sense of unity. - Build Connections: Don’t forget to have fun! Team-building activities or casual get-togethers can strengthen bonds and make working together more enjoyable. - Reflect and Adapt: Regularly check in as a team to see what’s working and what’s not. Be open to making changes to improve the culture. By fostering a zero-blame culture, you create an environment where trust flourishes, and your team becomes more resilient together. It's all about learning, growing, and supporting one another. #EmployeeExperience

Customer Service Week 2024 from Shepard (Shep) Hyken https://lnkd.in/gcET8RH9 These ideas are fantastic! It’s so true that recognizing employees is just as important as acknowledging customers. Starting the week with a customer service vision sets a strong tone. Testimonial Tuesday is a great way to boost morale by showcasing customer feedback—it reaffirms the employees' impact. Innovation Day encourages ownership and creativity, while a food-themed Thursday brings everyone together in a fun way. Kudos Day sounds uplifting, fostering a culture of appreciation through personal compliments. I love how you stress that appreciation should happen year-round, not just during a designated week. Each of these ideas is a wonderful reminder of the value of celebrating the team that delivers service.
